MLB the Show
Want so much to play MLB the Show 10, but it is so sluggish on my system.
Here is what I am running.....
AMD Phenom x4 3.4 GHZ
6 GB Ram
NVIDIA GForce GT740
Windows 7
My son *who supposedly knows these things) say's if I update my video card, things will
work out for me with no sluggishness. He say's a EVGA - NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 SC 2GB GDDR5
is all I need.
Before I drop the money would like a second (or third) opinion..
Will I see a noticeable improvement in graphics with this card.
How much of the power is gpu vs cpu dependent ?

Cannot Play Ruthless Race SSX3
So far I've had very few issues playing through SSX3 on PCSX2, but in the Ruthless race on Peak 2, the game slows to a crawl. I believe it has to do with the particle effects, but I'm not sure how to disable them, or at the very least truck through them with an unstable run on some severe settings to boost fps.

I read the faqs the best I could so it what I say warrants any punishing I fully understand it but I've looked around and haven't really found anyone in the same situation as me so here it is.
I don't have a cd drive so as I understand it you need to rip from the ps2 disk
and I do own the games that plan to play but does not having a cd drive mean I am just out of luck as far as using this program.

[Help] Champions of Norrath lag
Hi!
I need some help with getting champions of norrath to be lag free. Currently, whenever I walk near fire or forests with lots of trees, the FPS drops down to 30-45 and it's very noticeable. I'm trying to get my girlfriend into gaming with me and she used to love Gauntlet Legends so I told her about this game. So far she loves it but she hates the lag.

Ratchet Deadlocked/Gladiator COOP Split Screen Issues
Hello, ive been testing deadlocked on pcsx2 1.5 dev build, im using the ntsc version so i cant reach 60 fps but whatevs, problem is, since me and a friend of mine wanted to play this game in COOP splitscreen to re-live all the good memories from this game, i tried doing some testing and the results...are bad
Fps still appears to be 50, so no changes from single player
Problem is, while pcsx2 says they are 50, they really arent, it feels like im getting less than 30,
i tried lowering resolution to native but there are no changes
I will do some testing on a PAL version of the game as soon as i have time

My PCSX2 runs at 60-65% speed, help!
My game will only run in 60% soeed todat, i dont know what happened, all seemed fine yesterday. Burnout 3 and fifa street 2 will run fine speeds in menues and cutscenes but soon as gameplay starts it ***** up!

i also used the forum search before otherwise i still could not play ... anywhere i have some questions:
1st: my current (new notebook) don't have a drive so Unfortunately i cant use my ps2 discs and need to search some games i want as iso ... i maybe think of become a streamer / doing some videos for some of this old games because there are fun as heel
i still looking for:
NFL Street 1 2 is okay 3 na is not really my game
NBA Street 2 just this part 1 and 3 are not that good
anybody know where i can find them?
2nd: well like you see in the pic whit budokai tenkaichi 2 looks like this same whit some other games in the 2nd pic you will see that my notebook has 2 graphic cards normally they switch automatically it just depends on how many "graphic power" i need .... for the pcsx2 i choose the nvidia graphic crad but is the same look whit the intel card ... what can i do to fix this?

3rd: when i play over power load everything in game works fine for me ... but when i start to play over the battery some strange things happens either ingame become a speed boost or it become slow motion why is this and how can i fix it?
4rd: well i spend a lot of time to level stuff up ect. in the past what is a good and nice cheat tool for mostly german games i am more or less just interested to unlock the stuff dont need invincible and that stuff ... just want to save some time thats all

Fatal Frame 2 Hiccup
New to this PS2 Emulator thing. Did some studying but I'm still struggling lol. Anyway, booted up FF2 and as soon as you gain control of the character, after taking a few steps forward, the sound stutters/loops. I assume that's a point where the character yells out a name while walking. But yeah, it does that. I thought it was an audio issue, but after troubleshooting, it didn't go anywhere.
Another point of it was that I tried pushing on despite the grating sound but as soon as you get to the next loading screen, the game kinda freezes with the sounds still looping. I tried to look for some old threads (https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Fatal-Fr...al+frame+2) but I couldn't access the audio plugin. I'm not sure if I put the dll's in the wrong folder or whatever, but I'm still stuck.
So yeah, any help would be appreciated!

Silent Hill 4 iso
I am new with this pcsx2 and emulation so bear with me if I seem breaindead but the problem is this: I am trying to emulate a ps2 game disc: Silent Hill 4 - The Room. Everything in the setup has been going pretty good so far, until I go to CDVD and I'm supposed to select an iso. When I go to select an iso, it takes me to the bios installation folder, so that's probably wrong place, but where is the iso supposed to be located? I just can't find it.
Where do I find this or get it?

I have just downloaded an ISo file of dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and I was about to download the latest version of PCSX2. Nevertheless, i read the topic on the BIOS and how you have to extract it from ann existing consolle...unfortunately I have no consolle with me...is there any other way to use PCSX2? may somebody explain it to me, absolutely not expert in this matter?

Memory Card (myMC)
I need help related to myMC software or just transferring saves in general.
I would like to download a PS2 save and load it up in the emulator. I understand that in order for me to successfully do this, I need to use software such as myMC to import the save I got (MAX file) and import it. However, upon running the mymc-gui.exe, I receive the error that I'm missing msvcr71.dll. Is it just the matter of downloading the specific dll? And if so, where do I drop the file?
I understand that this may not be the appropriate place to ask this, but I'm not sure where else to inquire. I have also visited (https://wiki.pcsx2.net/Memcard) for reference but I haven't gotten far.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Silent Hill 4 Weird Shadows + Cutscene Lag
I've noticed playing Silent Hill 4 that some of the shadows around the player are totally bugged, also during the cutscenes FPS seems to drop, any ideas?

Silent Hill 4 Freeze when Picking up Ammo?
When trying to pickup Ammo for the handgun my character freezes, the game plays but my characters stays idle and I can't seem to press any buttons..

I was playing Champions of norrath (the one with spanish language) and when I try to go to the next map the game never load.
I suppose that's a reading error so I tried to use my own disc, and different ISO's from internet.

settings that only partly solve a problem
the TC offset X , TC offset Y settings allow to allign some bloom effects , the point is : the values needed to allign some bloom effects are different depending on the element that have the bloom effect , for example : in tales of tbe abyss the value 400 is ok for both the axis for most of the bloom effects , but for some other bloom effects in the same game , we need to change those vlaues to something bigger or something lower and the result is that we never obtain a perfect bloom-fix for now, how can we solve this problem ?
