how do you make hotkey cheats to work?

just like the title says, i cant make a cheats hotkey-triggered (L2 for health,etc) on .pnach file
any ideas? 

Im trying to add Monster Hunter 2 Cheats

Do you have to add Master code in order to activate? if so, do you need to make it with patch=1,X,Extended,X format?

For example

Red Faction backgrounds disappear

Having an issue with Red Faction... this mostly happens after I save but not all the time. I was just playing another time and walked through a door and it happened then too. Currently using Pcsx2.exe 1.50 (f965502), all the backgrounds disappear and I can just see Black instead of walls and floors. I've tried this on the stable release of 1.4.0 aswell and same issue.

UPDATE
- okay i have tried activating the codes Via Codebreaker and it WORKED , apparently to make any toggle/hotkey cheats to work you have to         activate the codes via Codebreaker/where the codes belongs to 
-You can't do it via .Pnach file (Correct me if im wrong)
-the code entered in codebreaker must not be the same entered in .pnach text or the game will freeze
(this way you can only add hotkey-based cheats at codebreaker and still have normal cheats at .pnach and it still works, or else you can just re-enter all the codes to codebreaker and delete the .pnach file or Uncheck the Enable Cheats)
lets leave this here if someone encounters the same problem as i am
its a bit tedious work to get all the codes to codebreaker and start CB first everytime you want to play but its ok i guess.

MTV Music Generator 2 Sampler Kit

I've been using mtv music generator 2 to make songs but I need a certain sound but it isnt one on there, but you can get a usb sampler to record the sound and put it on there. Is there anything like that for emulators? On eBay they're like $60 - $100 so thats why I chose to use the emulator. Thanks.

CPU: i5-750 , RAM:10 GB, GPU: GTX-960-4 GB windows 7.

Ratchet & Clank on my Pc.

Hello everyone, I try to ask a question even if the answer may seem obvious.
After doing various tests I managed to find the best configuration (so to speak) to play Ratchet & Clank.
Here is my pc: 2Gb ram, HD 3850, Core Duo E8200.
Now, I set "Hardware" with "8Bit" texture, I have the hacks all activated and I can even make 60Fps at some point. Only that in many other areas the game is slow and unplayable. Is there anything wrong with settings, or can i do this as much as possible?

Lilypad 0.11.0 Problem_WM Keyboard not Configure with Controller of PS2

Hello, I have installed PCX2 on my pc windows 10. After sucessfull installation of setup (with default lilypad 0.11.0), in plugin settings it is not showing WM keyboard option to configure the PS2 controller. It is only configuring with mouse. Even after "disable" the mouse, WM Keyboard not show in PAD1 or PAD2.  I need to access controller with my keyboard buttons. Please let me know how to solve this problem. Please see the attachments with this post.

My PCSX2 runs at 60-65% speed, help!

My game will only run in 60% soeed todat, i dont  know what happened, all seemed fine yesterday. Burnout 3 and fifa street 2 will run fine speeds in menues and cutscenes but soon as gameplay starts it ***** up!

Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc - No Shadows

Hi there.

Well, what the title says.
I get shadows in other games (like Rayman Revolution, for example), but not in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.
Makes platforming... pretty weird. Without a drop shadow, y'know.

Any tips on that? Google has been uncooperative.
If you need any info, tell me, I'll try and provide it.

is there still a possibility to play the online mode of this game trough pcsx2 ? i downloaded the plugin called DEV9 in order to actually connect the emulator to the net , but i don't know if there is still a server or whatever could allow us to connect to the online mode of this game

My emulator stopped working after I had reinstalled Windows 10. It had worked flawlessly before...

It gives me this error:
Failed to init XAudio2 engine. XA2 may not be available on your system. Ensure you have the latest DirectX runtimes installed or use DirectX / WaveOut drivers instead.
Error code: 0x80040154
