ok folks.. running an ubuntu VM. Gave it 2 cores, 4 gb of ram, 100gb hdd. Not spectacular specs, I know.. but what can I use to benchmark it.. I want to see what it does to my windows host its running on...

Plugin problems
Hello, another fellow gamer here.
I am more than sure that there has been enough threads of issues regarding on running the pcsx2 and so I apologize in advance that this is most likely another one of "those". But I am very desperate at the moment as to finding out why every time I attempt to run a game iso by Boot CDVD that instead of the game processing, the black window for the game closes and replaces itself with a message saying "GS plugin failed to open."
I have tried all of the gsdx32 given as options knowing that there was an issue with my plugins but it was still ineffective, which is weird because I see that the console had initialized the plugins successfully. FYI, I currently have a well performing Acer's Aspire 5600U Windows 10 desktop that has no problem processing pcsx2's data and the graphics card necessary to run the games so the performance of the computer should not be a problem. I have also surfed the internet for hours looking for solutions and maybe a plugin that would work but yet nothing has been working...
I was wondering if there are not any valid plugins for Windows 10 yet? I will take for granted any of you experts out there that could make any suggestions on how to fix the issue I am having! Thanks and have a great day!

[bug report]Ratchet and Clank 3 has seizure-inducing lights w/ hardware hacks[ntsc-u]
Earlier today, I was playing Ratchet and Clank 3 with hardware hacks enabled. I went to Planet Aquatos, and immediately upon arrival the game freaked the hell out and started flashing red and blue bars on the screen extremely rapidly. Pausing and unpausing the game then makes all the geometry invisible, and it still remains that way in software mode. Intel i3-6300 HD 530 iGPU performance
I am running PCSX2 with Intel's newest HD 530 iGPU and my results for Burnout 3 are:
Native resolution, 640x800, Direct3D11: 60-70% speed avg.
Native resolution, 640x800, OpenGL: 50-60% speed avg.
The performance is terrible. Is it supposed to be this bad?

pcsx2 1.4.0 Cheats Not Working
Hi there!
I am playing Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne and wanted to put some cheats in. I do not want to be in full God mode. I grabbed the cheats off of http://www.codemasters-project.net/membe...cturne.txt
and Have tried testing a cheat before continuing. I am sitting here with 0 Macca (money) even though I put the cheat in.
When using Omniconvert, I set input to Action Replay V1 (I have no idea what I need for Input. I just guessed), and as for Output, I put Encrypted Standard. When you search Max Money from the website provided above, this is what you get:

When using Omniconvert, I set input to Action Replay V1 (I have no idea what I need for Input. I just guessed), and as for Output, I put Encrypted Standard. When you search Max Money from the website provided above, this is what you get:

Vulkan Support - What features would help?
I'm a bit of a new coder and I have been teaching myself by trying different things and learning by doing. I was looking at DirectX 12 and the Vulkan API and want to see what I can do to help. It may be a few months before I have anything workable, but what features would be beneficial to PCSX2 from Vulkan to help reduce driver overhead and provide some possible optimizations. Just to make sure I was going through everything correctly, PCSX2 is written in C++ not C# correct?

New Kaby Lake laptop CPUs for PCSX2?
Hi I was looking at the minimum requirements for the emulator and it's a bit outdated. Since Kaby Lake laptop CPUs just starting to come out for laptops this winter, I was wondering how a Cpu like the new i5-7200U (base freq: 2.50Ghz up to 3.10Ghz) and the i7-7500U ( base freq: 2.70Ghz up to 3.50Ghz) would fare with running this emulator.
I'm looking to buy a new laptop and it will most likely have either one of these two processors. Not interested in playing games at 5xnative resolution or above. I'm really hoping to play games at at least 3 times resolution seeing as I won't being playing at 4k but on a 1080p screen. Any help or experience would really be appreciated. Thank you

PCSX2-Texture glitches in NASCAR,FIFA Street2?
Hello!So i had this problem even before when i've had my older PC.
But now i have new and better but for some reasson it's still bugging.So i've played FIFA Street 2 and NASCAR 08,09...
But this problem keeps happening except when i am in FIFA Street 2 i can press F9 and the texture fixes a bit.But when i do that in NASCAR it keeps crashing my game.
The problem is about textures, i've tried some combination in Video Settings but seems it seems that it didn't work.
I've tried to change my BIOS couple of times but it's same, even in Plugins i've tried to change DS settings but it also did not help.
Is there any possible solution please?I wanna play this really bad beacuse i have original PS2 but it's so difficult to burn than install something on my PS2 to play the freaking game...
If anyone knows the solution or othet settings that would help thank you so much i would really appreciate that.

Battle for Bikini Bottom unplayable
I am new to PCSX2 as a whole, therefore I have no idea what I'm really doing. If more information is needed(which it probably is), please tell me how to get it. ![Smile Smile]()

However, I have not long ago tried to play Battle for Bikini Bottom and it sits at the intro screen and stays there until I quit. It is reported as "playable" on the compatibility list, but I can not get past the first screen.
Video of it freezing + sounds of me pressing controller buttons near end.

Armor 3 PS4 Controller Is Not Detected by DS4Windows
I recently got an Armor 3 PS4 wired controller in the hopes of playing some Steam games with it, but I'm having problems. I installed DS4 and it's drivers onto my Windows 10 computer and it won't show up in the Controllers tab. Yet, when I go into Control Panel, it shows up there as "P4 Wired Gamepad" and it works fine in the Test page when I double-click it. I've tried restarting my computer and re-pugging in the controller, but that won't work either. Basically, I'm very confused and frustrated, since google searching often takes me to people who are using another type of controller or bluetooth.

will this run pcsx2 at decent, if not, playable speed?
what settings should i use?

How to reset/reboot a game with a hotkey?
I'm currently playing kingdom hearts 2 final mix, and for some strange reason, squareenix decided to remove the ability to soft reset in the game (you now have to die or find a save point to reload) despite it being possible in the first installment.
I'm curious, is there a way to hotkey a button to reset in pcsx2? I found a thread http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Keyboard-...r-question utilizing Autohotkey to do this exact same function, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. If anyone could point to what I'm doing wrong with Autohotkey, or show me an alternative solution to this problem, that'd be great.

CPU options: EE/IOP defaults, VUs defaults
Plugins used: hardware and software defaults same results
Speedhacks: Tested with and without SH, no changes.
DESCRIPTION: i'm back... again
!! Just like the last time the game freezes with a black screen.
I noticed that it always happens after defeating the boss at the end of the chapter.
So when the game tries to load the next chapter, crashes !!
Specs:

Tales of the Abyss wont boot + corrupts itself.
I open up pcsx2, select the USA bios I have, start the game, then I get this error
"File not found.
Path: IsoFileSystem
(pxActionEvent) IsoFS could not find the root directory on the ISO image.(thread:EE Core)"
If I try and open the file in windows explorer or daemon tools, it'll say the iso has been corrupted.
Why is this happening?
If I try to copy the game from an external hdd I have lying around, it can be opened in windows explorer and daemon tools again, but as soon as I try starting it in pcsx2 it gets corrupted..

GS to 100% with GSDx in hardware mode Ubuntu 16.04
First off, I'm brand new to PCSX2 and not the best at Linux.
I've just installed Ubuntu 16.04 64bit
Using a Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT with the proprietary binary driver v. 340.98
AMD Phenom II x4 920 with proprietary amd64-microcode
installed PCSX2 from Gregory's repo with apt-get
I've managed to get PCSX2 running GTA: San Andreas but only with GSDx in software mode. In software mode it was slow (mostly playable) and had some sort of "double vision" effect going.
In hardware mode, the game will load the opening credits but the GS% goes to 100% as soon as the name starts to load, which is when the game actually starts. Nvidia Xserver doesn't show much activity when this happens, neither does sys monitor. (screenshot attached)

I'm probably missing something so any pointers would be appreciated.

Can't start game
I've been trying to run Arcana Heart on the emulator, but when th game starts, i get a screen with "Save Data for Arcana Heart was not found on the memory card (PS2) in MEMORY CARD slot 1." I dont know if the problem is the emulator or my room, but i tried changing controls, ejeting memory cards and i could do nothing.

linuz iso cdvd
I installed the emulator correctly but when I try to select the linuz plugin iso cdvd to play the games I downloaded it does not appear. I need to download the plugin but can not find it anywhere.
