Not a graphical bug, but rather an emulation bug. After finishing the prologue of this untranslated gem, you're brought to a house where once you retrieve your items from your partner Daisuke Jigen, the game hard locks/soft locks. You're still free to move around the house, but you're unable to open/activate any doors and progress further into the game.

Black charachters BUG in Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (PCSX2)

Its 2 years allready since this bug is still not fixed? i searched a little but how to fix this problem and saw posts that it was fixed but the bug came back, only solutions i saw was to set the resolution to native and it works but the video quality gets really bad, and i just found a way how that problem fixes and the video quality stays good. I dont know is this gonna help you but it works for me, it just need a bit of time to do it.

When you go on PCSX2 Program and click on System > Save state (save on any of those), then load the same state and the black charachter shoud be gone and the video quality stays same good.

Help a Newbie Config a 1080 or 4K without drop FPS

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie on pcsx2 configuration, please help me =D.

I want to emulate games full screen on a 1080p or 4K resolution

My notebook configuration:
Nvidia 830m 2Gb
i5 5200u
8Gb ddr3
120gb SSD

Description of the problem: When i play just on the notebook and maximize the screen I have 44~54 FPS, but when i plug on HDMI to play on the TV and double click to maximize the FPS drops to 20~26, I've seen many videos how to set up and none solved my problem, that's why I came here.


Questions:

1) This hardware configuration is enough to do what I want or I need to change my hardware???
2) Someone already this problem?

Hello everyone, hope you had or are having a wonderful  day.

I have problem and was hoping i could get it fixed by someone here.
But first here are the games i own

1. Black
2. God of War 1
3. Underworld
4. Mademan
5. Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monk
(All Backed-up ISO)

Ok so when i wasn't having a PC NOT powerful enough to emulate this games on PCSX2 i converted my already backed-up ISO games to some strange format (ul.2BC4A52D.SLES_521.09.00) using a software called "USBUtil" so i could play them on my PS2 with HD loader because i could fill my PS2 DVD lens getting weaker and weaker and it has been working perfectly.

I recently got a HP Elite 8300 SFF which has an I5 3570 processor in it and i was eager to test the PC with the PCSX2 emulator so i converted that strange format files to ISO using the same software and booted the games then i got this Error " File not Found Path: PS2L_213.76.1 For Black and PS2L_210.87;1 for Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monk", the other three games work perfectly on PCSX2.

I would really appreciate it if someone could fix this for my.

NFL Blitz 20-03 broken menu screens

Been trying to get Blitz 20-03 to work in hardware mode (it works fine in software), but I haven't been able to figure it out. On all the menus and title screens there are lines splitting up the images (see attached pic) which I assume come from upscaling but even at native res they are still there in hardware mode. I've tried pretty much every option in the hardware plugins (both Directx11 and OpenGL) but nothing gets rid of them and there's no mention of this issue on the wiki. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

AMD Radeon R7 370 graphics card

Hello everyone, I managed to get cheats finally working, only to figure out that it didn't do exactly what i wwnted it to do. I was using the normal Quick EXP gain cheat and it shoots the level up towards lvl 40 or so. I was wondering if anyone knew of another exp cheat that allows sora and company to lvl up one at a time or not 40 lvls at once.

Visual Studio 2019 was recently released, has progress been made in solving compilation problems in this new version? I think it's been a moment that at least you can see an early sample of the emulator in 64 bits and it would be great if it were with this IDE.

Black Flicker every 20~30 seconds. 1.4.0

I just downloaded PCSX2 1.4.0 from the download page.

I had a previous version of 1.0.0 from years ago but both are having the same problem.

Playing Xenosaga Ep3, I have a black flicker every 20~30 seconds. just ficks to black for a frame or 2, and then all is normal. 

This was not happening a few months ago, so I'm not sure what is happening.

I've played through the entire xenosaga and FFXII games before and never had this flickering before. I even have a video of a fight from Xenosaga 1 on my youtube channel.

But now it's flickinger to black constantly, and I have no idea whats causing it.

I make an individual PCSX2 portable Install for each of my games so that I can put them on Steam as individual games. I've done this for years and didnt have a problem with flickering then either.

i7 5820K 
16GB 2400mhz DDR4
AMD Fury X
MSI X99 SLI Plus.
Windows 7.

Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets Crashes

Today I tried playing HP2 since it's finally playable on PCSX2. The problem is that everything worked fine but since I got outside of Hogwarts the game started crashing. It's not random since it crashes only on certain areas. I already downloaded the crash fix as it is recommended in the wiki, but no improvement so far. I am just at the flying lesson and I could end the day without walking around outside, but I am not sure If it will occur later on in the game when I have to be outside.

Thread Creation Failure / Deleting program

Good afternoon, hope your day is going well PCSX2 family!

I have been using PCSX2 for about 8 months now, and today when I started the program, an error message saying, "Thread Creation Failure. An unspecified error occurred while trying to create the SysExecutor thread."

I'm running version 1.4.0 and I have the following setup: Lenovo p52s   Intel® i7-8550U CPU @1992 mhz   with my   NVIDIA® Quadro® P500 2 GB    

I would post a log, however I can't even access the log because the program won't start correctly. 

I would like to remove PCSX2 completely and reinstall the program, but there is no program listed in my control panel, so I would be very thankful for assistance in removing the program so I can reinstall it.

Games seem to run but not respond to Mouse & KB

This may rather be a tricky problem cause I'm using Windows 7 through a virtual machine on a Mac.

I tried it with 2 different ps2 games now and the mouse and keyboard are recognised and usable on the VM just now PSX2, im getting to the start menu and that's it.

I don't have a controller, logs are attached.

Graphic Card not working right with v 1.4.0

Hello,

I am having a lot of issues getting pcsx2 to work properly with my Nvidia Gtx 965m 
I have been able to play fine in the past, so I am struggling to figure out what the issue is. I even tried the developer 1.5 updates, to no avail. However using 1.2, I am able to play not only at 100%, but 200% with turbo. What could be the issue?

I have a Surface Book w/ performance base

Intel® Core™ i7-6600U CPU @ 2.60Ghz 2.81 Ghz
Ram 16.0GB

I have attached my log, let me know if I can help with any other things.


I have tried Resident Evil Outbreak: File 2, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, and Silent Hill 4

Basically, I can run all of them perfectly in Direct3d9 and 11 with my Intel Hd graphics 520, but when I try to use my Nvida GTX 965m graphics it only gives on average 85-90%. The funny thing is, it does not matter what upscale value I use (Native, 3x, 2x, 6x, custom) it always does this same 85% range value. I have tried everything I can think of. The only thing that has done much of anything is frame rate skip 1 and draw 1, which gives me the 200% turbo, but this breaks the game.
This has to be some kind of issue that I cannot wrap my head around, because obviously my computer can handle the games. I've played them before on this exact same setup but now it seems to not be working. I would hate to have to only use my intel graphics and not my more powerful graphics card.

Persona 3 won't start anymore

I downloaded Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES and started it just to see if it was working. The intro movie started playing, so i assumed it was and closed it. Later i started it again, , but the movie didn't play this time. It was just a black screen. It happens everytime i start the game now, i even tried uninstalling it and installing again, still the same problem.
It's the only game i have downloaded that has this problem, all the others start normally. Also, just to recap, the first time i started it it worked, but never again.
This is probably a very common problem, so if there's already a thread just for this, please link to it.

Xenosaga Ep. I - Any new help with slowdown?

I was wondering if, with the newer dev builds (I use the nightly 1.5 from just the other day now) if there was any way to squeeze any more speed out it for games like Xenosaga. It runs fine about 85-90% of the time but I still have some slowdowns here and there. Not slow enough to be unplayable, but definitely noticeable. Here are my settings:

[Bug Report] DDS Games Glitches [NTSC-U]

PCSX2 version: 1.5.0v 3121


In DDS games there is an upscailing issues where aroung some objects are surrounded by white pixels, It can be resolved by playing on native resolution or disabling depth emulation
In DDS 1 opening there are some pixeles in random diffrent colors at the bottom of the video it can be resolved by using software mode
and in DDS2 sometimes when entering a battle the screen freaks out and show and stretches the image this can be resoled by switching to software mode ,also sometimes DDS2 crashes when entering a new area it happened to me sometimes but i was unable to restore this bug
