Dmc3se messed up title screen background

Dmc3se title screen has a black background instead of white.  I've seen screenshots of this game running on pcsx2 and apparently ZeroGS renders the title screen properly with a white background.  I've tried both backends including software mode in gsdx with no luck.  Is zeroGS really the only way of displaying the title screen properly?

Problem with Kingdom Hearts

Hi guys, i have a problem with Kingdom Hearts.
In the Deep Jungle, after defeating the boss, saw the scene with the magic lock and witnessed the scene with all the villains of the game, I find myself in the tent with tarzan and when the characters begin to dialogue the game freezes, the characters remain still but only the mouth moves, with subtitles buggy and does not allow me to go on and I can only pause the game.
How i can fix it? Thanks

Black frame every 40s/50s or so

Hi, I have been looking all around the forum and google to see if anyone else has experienced this but couldn't find anything.

What happens is that everything works flawless, 100% speed, no artefacts, everything looks gorgeous but every now and then a black screen for one frame comes up. The game doesn't slow or stops, it is just a render black frame every minute or so and it is really annoying as I can't play games as I am constantly looking for that one black frame, no matter what game I play. It happens in every game! Wacko

I am using pcsx2 1.5.0 dev2793, tried everything, ogl, dx11, soft render, every single option, on and off that I could think off, but nothing seems to fix it. Updated Nvidia drivers. Toggle Nvidia presets. I really don't get it. I've got every single emulator out there, there all works just fine (as well as they can emulate each console, of course) none do that black frame screen. I don't think it is my graphics card's (GTX 960) fault. I've tried NTSC games, Pal games, USA bios, EU bios, you name it, I've probably tried it. Really annoying. I am trying to finish Rogue Galaxy after my ps2 died on me last month Sad

Anyone experienced this issue? Is there anything I can try to fix that annoying black screen. It even happens when slowing down to 10% the base framerate adjustment! Skip frames, doesn't help either.

Thanks guys

CDVD Read Error - Test Drive: Eve of Destruction

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to the PCSX2 thing, but I'm absolutely glad it exists.

Recently, I decided to make my own image of Test Drive: Eve of Destruction, because I personally no longer have a physical console and the fat version console that I do have access to won't load the game. (The particular model isn't compatible with the game or something of that nature...) I still have the CD and I wanted to make a virtual backup since the game is pretty expensive to replace if I ever had to. (looking at prices on eBay and Amazon)

Whenever I went to play the image however, I was only able to get so far into the career mode until I ran into the error which just gives me an infinite loading screen. Specifically, I was trying to exit back to the main map from finishing the eve at the Gilroy track, and I ran into the CDVD Read Error with sector 0x000e7551. I tried a few more times, and got the same result. Then, I decided to try and exit from the eve before it was over, and I still got the read error, but this time with sector 0x000e7550. Weird. I've read a few other posts on here that have ran into the same problem, but with other not-so-legit 'media'. Please note that I have a retail copy of the game and I can verify it by uploading pictures of it if I need to. I just wanted to throw in my two cents that I find it interesting that multiple people have run into the same problem despite having different sources of the game, which sort of leads me to believe it might be an conflict with the emulator.

I have a powerful enough machine to run the game fine, so it's not a hardware issue. I used ImgBurn to create my image, and it did so flawlessly. I have also attempted to run the game from the CD itself, no luck. The CD is scratched a little bit, but it shouldn't affect gameplay whatsoever because it worked fine the last time I had a slim console of my own.

Anyone have any tips or suggestions? Also, is there any way that I could try a previous version of PCSX2 to see if the game will work with that? Will I be able to make a save with that older version in the event that I do get past this bug, and then be able to load the save with the current version I have to continue playing?

TD:EoD is such a great game and honestly there isn't much else like it, which is why I'm really trying to find a fix for this, so I can get my fix, haha.

Thanks in advance,
mtloya

Hello,
I've been trying to complete the IB-5 License test in Gran Turismo 4 NTSC-J version (ELF name SCPS-17001). I was running with and without cheats to no avail. I'm using most of the settings in their default values. I have also posted an emulog as well. Here the one without cheats enabled:

The file: 6E9D2844.pnach has no ending .txt.

And that's why I have a question why does not it work?

One more strange thing: In the Cheats_ws Folder in WinRAR where there are various codes each one has  an additional note like :
patch=1,EE,00174ecc,word,461e2f83 //e48402cc and I don't know why in all these files there is a note after " word,461e2f83 is something like this //e48402cc.

In my codes there are no additions like eg. 003 …
I hope you will understand me Wacko and thanks for help Biggrin

Using DS4 As Mouse

Hello, I want to use my ds4 controller as a mouse and be able to watch youtube easily. I'm using a cable to connect it. I don't like that the trackpad is the mouse, I'd like it as the right analogue stick controls the mouse, and x is the left click button, and o is the right click button. How do I remap it?

anytime I setup vibrate on lilypad 0.12.1 it only has the vibrate option for " constant effect " and once it starts ingame it never stops ingame until I alt-tab. Also testing it in the configuration menus doesn't do anything, but it works ingame but never stops.

God of War 2 NTSC: Does any one have a save game for the Great Chasm level?

$

Hello,

I'm getting a cut scene freeze during the Atlas cutscene, I was able to skip it by doing the skip MPEG hack, afterwards there was a fight on his hand against some enemies using Atlas power of thunder. After beating all enemies on his hand, the screen goes to black. Tried many things to bypass, but it doesn't seem to work. I have God of War NTSC version.

Any chance someone can upload a save game from the beginning of the Great Chasm level (Normal difficulty preferable)? Because that's what supposed to be next. I wonder if this might fix the problem. I attached my memory card files in case you need it to this level.

Thanks and Merry Xmas!

Anyone here has any fixes for PCSX 2 emulator on Windows 10? I get massive frame drops and this definitely wasn't an issue in Windows 8.1. The compatibility settings for 7 and 8 don't seem to be fixing this issue and I've tried with both the integrated graphics card and my nividia card

Pcsx2 crashes on loading screen

Hello,

It's been a while since I've started using Pcsx2 to play my good old games and I don't have any issue about it myself, I'm actually glad I can still occasionally play those so long after saying goodbye to Ps2. I have a friend at my place and I've been trying to use pcsx2 on his laptop to play Ratchet&Clank3 -because his screen is wider than mine- and I can't find why it's not working. We boot on full and before "Playstation2" is written on screen, it crashes with the usual ".exe has stopped working (etc)"

We downloaded the latest dev build first -then tested several others so that's probably not the issue-,  and configured it as I did on mine :
- Emulation settings preset on safest.
- GSdx: AVX2 (every other plugin left as default) and its plugin settings left untouched - OpenGL (Hardware) and so on
- In the sound plugin settings, we changed the interpolation to linear but that's not the issue since it still crashes. We also tried changing the module to Direct Sound rather than XAudio-2 but still doesn't work.
Everything else kept untouched.

When running out of ideas I ran the game on his, saw the crash and did the same with mine, waited for the playstation 2 title to appear before closing and compare the emuLog files. If not that mine has some long strings of words rather than all listed, the only difference is his end at this point:

Configurating my PCSX2 with the Best Performance

Hi, im here just to be helped in configurating my PCSX2, because i can't do it alone. I searched for a long time a tutorial video or the official guides, but i don't have to much knowledge to do the best performance configuration for my computer. That happens because i have a good computer, but the emulator still lag and even with 60 FPS it seems slowly, always happens some problems that i can't figure out how to deal with.

So i ill make a small list of the games that i have and i hope that a good soul will help me in configurating the entire emulator to have a good performance. My emulator is on the standard configuration now, because i did reset the emulator first before posting this. I just want to someone post a good configuration for my Games and PC Specs work perfectly or near that.

So, here is my PC Specs and my game list:

Games: NFS Most Wanted - Black Edition; NFS Carbon; NFS ProStreet; Shadow of the Colossus; MidnightClub 2; MidnightClub 3 DUB Remix; HotWheels Beat That; Bakugan Battle Brawlers; LEGO Batman; LEGO Indiana Jones; and Heatseeker.

PC Specs:
Processor - Intel i7-7700K 4.2 GHz
Graphic Card - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
RAM - 8 GB (2400MHz)
System - Windows 10
Support to all DirexctX drivers
8 GB RAM - 2400MHz

Emulator: PCSX2 1.4.0

So, that being said, i hope that someone can help me to configure this. It seems easy because of my PC Specs, but, strangely, its not...

God of War 2 NTSC: I provided a save game for Atlas level can you complete it for me?

Hello,

For compatibility, I attached the exported save files for the game (gow2mymc.7z) I have using the mymc tool, I exported in both formats (.psu/.max),

so if you could use this : It's memory card slot 1, 2/10 which has: "Ascension of Atlas" Nov 25, 2018 21:20:50 (date might be wrong, disregard). If you could pass this level, to the next level Great Chasm level and save it right at the beginning (it has a check point), and then export in the same way using mymc, and upload it here, it will be much appreciated.

Can someone please take the save game I provided for the Atlas level from Mymc, and use it to play the level, so you can save the next level checkpoint and upload it here? Or perhaps you already have the save game to provide.

I'm trying to bypass a glitch that some members here think it's because I have a single layer vs double layer, but I don't buy it until I try it myself! So a save game will settle this question once and for all.

Thanks and Merry Xmas!

Converting save files regions - alternative way to do it (when other ways don't work)

$

Hello,

I had to convert a save file from a friend who had it in PAL (God of War 2), and I needed it in NTSC.

I tried to follow the following threads:

https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Tutorial...her-region

https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Convert-...AL-to-NTSC

What I tried was:
a.) Opened the PAL file with a hex editor and/or another editor and find/replace the PAL version text with the NTSC version text.
b.) Opened the PAL file with PS2 Save Builder and find/replace the PAL version text with the NTSC version text in the Root/ID and first file name.

But it didn't work when I went to load the game it didn't show anything (it did show it under the system Bios memory card though).

Some have mentioned that the above methods do not always work because there could be a checksum inside the save file that changing some components of the names causing to throw it off, and the game not being able to detect the save file anymore.

So I came up with a new way, that seems to work (which probably accommodating for the checksum issue and/or possibly other unknown causes to the issue), which is somewhat a modification of the two ways above:

Prerequisites:
Have both region save files available (preferably in .psu format, you can export it using Mymc tool from the emulator).
Create new folder called "files" (anywhere).

1.) Open each region save file in a different PS2 Save Builder (source and target regions).
2.) Open a third new PS2 Save Builder instance (Keep blank, don't load any save files).
3.) Copy/paste the target save file PS2 Save Builder Root/ID text to new PS2 Save Builder instance Root/ID.
3.) From the source save file PS2 Save Builder, go through the list of files, top down, right click on each file, choose extract and save it with the same name it populates the file name field with into the new "files" folder you created.
4.) In the new PS2 Save Builder instance, right click in the files grid, choose add file, and just choose each file that you extracted.
5.) Once you added all files in the new PS2 Save Builder instance, rename the first file name you added to the target save file PS2 Save builder first file name.
6.) In the new PS2 Save Builder instance, click file, save as, and save in .max format (giving it any name you want).
7.) Import the .max file you saved into Mymc tool (after you deleted the existing target save file).
8.) Restart the game (full boot restart), it should load the save game now.

Good luck!

Merry Christmas from the PCSX2 team

Merry Christmas everyone! We know you haven't heard from us for a while (ok for a long time Tongue ) but it was for good reason!

Development has been going strong for several months with some new members joining and others digging even deeper in PCSX2 issues ironing them out. People who have been following our github already know how many hacks have been removed (yes, removed Tongue ) lately, with the DX11 renderer of GSdx quickly catching up to OpenGL accuracy levels thanks to several contributors. This large boost in progress was incited by gregory helping out the newcomers with his in-depth knowledge of GSdx, in between his baby's sleep sessions, so he deserves a big thank you from all of us. The core has also been improved, while several big PRs are also close to merging, making this an exciting time for PCSX2!

Thanks to the new (and old) guys giving their time and skills to breathe some life to PCSX2 and to everyone who still believe in us and appreciate this project! Have a nice one and keep playing!
