I'm running PCSX2 through a Windows emulator on a Mac, and besides that my processor is an Intel i5 1.6GHz. I've been looking around, and it seems most sources recommend a 2.8GHz for a pleasant experience, which explains why my game (Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus) is running consistently at 25% outside of the initial 2D animation intro. Is this definitely a hinderance for most PS2 Roms?

Legaia 2 after battle graphics glitch.
Hey, I've already gone through all of the other Legaia 2 threads here, and a few I found on other sites and a couple Youtube videos. The first issue I saw was the black grid over the opening FMV, which was fixed easy enough by going back to Native resolution. I also made sure to reset everything back to default, and where people said to "uncheck" something, I went into the options and made sure it was unchecked. Everything is where it should be according to every thread I've seen about this game.
So I start up the game, opening FMV looks great, frame rate is great, actually running at 100%, everything looking good. I go through the opening stuff, walk around town, and everything's fine. Then I get to the first area with enemies(forest outside of town) and things are still looking good. There's a tutorial battle, and it runs smoothly. Then it cuts back to you in the forest, and . . .
The map's all wrong. It's just you standing on a featureless green and gray background. You can kind of see where grass, water, etc. is supposed to be, but it's all flat and missing details and ugly and hard to navigate. I managed to find my way mostly by luck to where the 2nd tutorial battle happens, hoping that might fix things. The battle looked great again, but it didn't fix anything. When the battle was over and it was back to your character running around the map, it was still all glitched out.
Anyone know what's going on? I've seen people complain about graphics and frame rates, but nothing like this. And I'm curious why the glitch didn't happen until after a battle, because up to this point everything had been looking good.

Corrupted Memory Cards
Question: I have a problem where I cant save my game to a memory card when I use a savestate. How do I make it so that when I load a save state, that I can save in game? I have Pcsx2 1.50 dev version.
Explanation: I started noticing when I booted up bios that memory blocks where becoming blue squares and were labeled as "corrupt". This started with one save, then grew to a bunch of other ones. Reluctantly however, I noticed that save states still worked, and that I would be able to continue not too far off from where I was for most of the games on the card. Knowing this, I deleted the Memory card that was corrupted. Now though when I make a new memory card I cant save on it normally through the game (comes up as "save failed") but I can through a save state, however it doesn't show up when I boot up bios.
In conclusion: should I just give up and use save states exclusively now or is there something else I can do like maybe holding on to my save state folder and re downloading Pcsx2?
I'm at a loss and kind of heartbroken, even if I still have the save states. I can give details if needed.
I appreciate it if someone can respond.

PCSX2 Stuck on "Browser" and "System config."
Hi, i recently downloaded PCSX2 in hopes of playing some good old SOCOM Combined Assault. I downloaded an ISO on https://www.emuparadise.me/ and have all the configurations correct. I select CDVD>SOCOM Combined Assault. Then i select plugin and run it on fast(When i try to load the game on iso it says "file not found" path:IsoFileSystem). It has the ps2 loading screen then it brings me to Browser and system config and i cant do anything but go back and fourth between the two. Can someone tell me a solution please?

Can't get audio synced
FPS is 60 sometimes may drop as low as 50, if I have the audio at time stretch the audio slows down and voice acting sounds drunk and a joke
if I put it on Async Audio then sounds fine but after a few mins via a cutscene it then goes out of sync I don't know what to do been playing with settings for days hours getting frustrated! gameplay works fine and smooth and 100% good it's just cuteness I can't get right
I do have to use Direct X 11 software though not hardware the hardware option simply doesn't work it goes jerky crazy in slow mo so software options is the only way
but right now this audio problem is driving me crazy it's either out of sync or go with slow drunk voice actors.

PCSX2 Def jam fight for Ny laggy [ need config pls ]
Hello,
I am trying to play " Def jam fight for Ny " on PCSX2 and my game is slightly laggy.
Itll jump from 35-60 fps. it constantly goes from normal to slow mode or delay's.
im not very good at this, so bare with me.
I apologize for any inconvenience
i've managed to get it running at about 90%.. many delays here and there.
such as every cut scene, training gym, all the shops.. etc
when fighting/battling though, there is almost no delay.
the music/audio is well off. it's very choppy/skippy

Dark band up on the screen
Hello! Im sorry if someone has already written about this but I searched with the few english words that I know and I didnt found anything °°
So, today for the first time in my life I installed PCSX2 just for play another time with Shin Megami Tensei Lucifer's Call (or Nocturne), and wow, the game works. But i have just one graphical issue. I see an annoying dark/shadowy band on the upper side of the sreen. But lol, only when i'm exploring. If i talk with NPC it disappears, and when I stop to talk with NPC and start to explore again, the dark band appears. It is not the worst issue of the world, the game is full playiable, but is there is an easy way to fix it, very well, I would like to know![Wink Wink]()
Oh, just a detail: I set the resolution at x8 (but even putting at x2 I have the same dark band), so im playing with Direct3D in "Hardware". If i set it "Software" of course the dark band disappear but the textures and the characters become a bunch of pixels, i cant play like that without destroy my eyes xD
Here the pics, one with and another one without band:

What makes a webcam/keyboard/mouse special for PS2?
I mean, there are certain games that support keyboard/mouse but not all of them work properly, some even dont work or calibration is all over the place.
Pretty much the same with Police 24/7 Konami's Capture Eye web camera. It doesnt seem to work with my cameras (both Eyetoy models and a bunch of other old logitech cameras).
What kind of input/imagen support has Playstation 2 to not work with every single input/image device? Can this be hacked? Has anybody in PCSX2 Team debugged those games with specific peripherals?

Ratchet: Deadlocked HUGE Glow
Got through R&C 3 no problem, only that mild lag when there were a lot of enemies present, but that only lasted a couple seconds anyway. And the occasional VFX that didn't quite follow its object too well, but that was no biggie either. Other than that, flawless with D3D11 (Hardware) and Preset: 3 - Balanced! Now I moved to Deadlocked, without touching the settings, and this massive glow floods everything.
And that parallel VFX thing is present here too. Looks slightly blurry too, but it's been so long since I played the actual game on the PS2, maybe that's just how it was.

KHS-400C and KHS-400B Laser Units NOT interchangeable!
Hello,
I just wanted to say or give the Information that KHS-400C and KHS-400B
Laser Units for the NON-SLIM Version of the real Playstation 2 Devices
are NOT interchangeable.I read Months ago somewhere that they would but
that's Nonsense. The KHS-400B Laser Unit is thicker than the KHS-400C Laser
so you can't replace a KHS-400C with a KHS-400B.So be careful guys.
The opposite may be possible to replace a KHS-400B with a KHS-400C
Laser Unit. But not sure if the technical specifications are identical.
So be careful in that case either.
