In Dualshock 3 native mode, certain controls aren't detected.

I use PCSX2 with an actual PS2 controller through an adapter that utilizes the pressure-sensitive buttons, but for whatever reason L/R3 and start/select can't be set through the pad menu. Everything else works just fine, but I can't play anything that uses these controls as they aren't detected at all by PCSX2 which makes certain games much harder if impossible to play.

I know the likeliest issue is the adapter, but if I look at the raw data coming from the controller I can see values changing when I press these buttons.

Does CPU virtualization feature have anything to do with PCSX2?

I remember I read somewhere that PCSX2 creates some sorta PlayStation 2 virtual machine. Does virtualization feature like Intel VT-x and AMD-V have anything to do with PCSX2, and maybe other console emulators?

Ive tried changing around the graphics and shaders, so that's not the problem. 

And it's only happening on planet Daxx. It really happens randomly, no specific time.

It'll just hang there. I've tried EE Timing, but that doesn't help.

Devil May Cry 3 SE No HUD? I got your back.

So. You load up Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition to play some nostalgic, hack-and-slash badassery.
BUT WHERE IS THE DAMN HUD!?!?! I looked for a while and couldn't find anything so I screwed around in the settings on my own and I FIXED IT!

Pcsx2 shell replacer mod?

It'd be cool to boot into the original ps2 menu, and be able to browse files/games similar to the og ps2.

I'm currently working a ps2 style pc build and this would be the perfect finishing touch. Does anyone know how to do this? If so it'd also be cool to integrate it with kodi or steam.

GT3 car purchase offsets?

Anyone ever found the offsets[raw cheat code wise] for the following cars?:

-Volkswagen Lupo Cup Car
-Opel Calibra Touring Car
-Opel Astra Touring Car
-Mercedes Benz Touring Car
-Aston Martin Vanquish
-TVR Speed 12

I have noticed that out of all the "car for $1" codes that are thrown around the internet, none of these cars seem to be on them. I figure that they have to have offsets similar to every other car if they are in the store.

Format:

Mazda RX-8 for $1

2086C084 00000001 -- first hex set I assume is the address containing the actual price, which in this case is being set to "1"
2086C088 00000000 -- second hex set I assume is what checks whether or not the car can be purchased by the player in the store. 0 for "purchaseable" and 1 for "not"

The two addresses for each care are ALWAYS 4 bits between each other, which is why the first parts of the code usually end with "4,8,C,0"

I have considered trying every single similar sets of hex codes until I found the right ones, but that would be a little daunting. I wanted to see if anyone else had found them first?

Ratchet and Clank Going Commando Graphical Problems

I just started emulating a few days ago, and i wanted to start with a childhood favorite. Ratchet and Clank Going Commando. But i ran into a graphical problem. The textures are all sorts of jacked up when I walk away from them and I also get terrible slow downs. Along side the distant textures, the textures of the enimies don't load in very well. I am currently running an Intel i5 3450, GTX EVGA SC 1050 and 8gb of DDR3 1600. I hope it shows, but I have attatched a screenshot of what i mean but the textures.

Dark Cloud Black Screen

I've just downloaded the latest PCSX2 software and was trying to play Dark Cloud. Game started out fine until I entered the Divine Beast Cave. Now it's just a black screen with no progress although I can still hear the music. I've tried completely turning off speed hacks as well as playing in SW mode but no luck. Only thing I can see in my console are these two messages repeating over and over again.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets [SLUS20576]-Shadows & Outdoor Textures Issue

Hi everyone!

I was playing Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets [SLUS 20576] (NTSC-U) and I noticed the outdoor textures like dirt, gravel and grass in Hardware Mode don't blend well as in Software Mode, resulting as shown in the pictures. Besides, the player's shadow is distorted at all times during the game.

Trying to find very old version due to save state

Ok I haven't played a game in 2 and a half years (I think maybe 2) but its savestate version 9a0b0000 as its a rpg and its about 20 hours into it I don't want to start from scratch.

Because im guessing theres no way to update a version without saving in game then making a new save state.

I have 2 unusual issues still waiting for advises.
1)  I can't run any pcsx2 emulator after I update my win10 and I'm running win10 without update just to play pcsx2 emulator.
2) I can run my pcsx2 (build 2327 or older) emulator with vc++ 2013 on my win10 version1511.

Same problem as LoStraniero1991.

I tried different BIOS and different ISOs with no avail. I keep stuck at the menu, it doesn't load further.
I really love the PAL version, so if any of you guys have some sugestions, please, help me. =)

I managed to load the game 2 times, but other times I have this on log:

SOLUTION: (as the guys already said above) enable FAST CDVD on CONFIG > EMULATION SETTINGS > SPEEDHACKS

Grand Theft Auto Vice City v1.1 (NTSC) 60 FPS

Hey everybody hope your all doing fairly well.

I have a question for you guys regarding Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Several months ago I started writing .pnatch files for all my PS2 games and I've been able to remove the internal 30 FPS limit from nearly all of them allowing most of my PS2 games to run internally at 60 FPS instead of 30.

However when I did Grand Theft Auto Vice City I noticed that the 60 FPS code you guys have here on the forum doesn't seem to work with my version even though everything matches up in the PCSX2 console window. I know there's nothing wrong with your code however it does not work for v1.1 of the game. The code you guys have is either for v1.0 or v1.2 of the game.

So I was wondering if anyone knows or can figure out the correct code for v1.1 of the game? I really hope you guys can help. I've got my niece coming in for Easter and she loves that game and I would love nothing more than to get it running internally at 60 FPS for her instead of 30.

Optimizing Champions of Norrath

Last time I fired up the Dark Alliance games there was still a bit of slowdown here and there, but I have since upgraded my computer and also I'm no longer overheating my CPU due to a fried fan! Wewps.

Specs:
i7-7700k
1070GTX
16gb ram
windows 10 64bit

I was still using 1.5 dev build ~600 and I played through dark alliance 1 & 2 with very minimal slowdown. Good times. I have since moved on to Champions of Norrath which has had very minimal slowdown throughout the first act, but I just made it to the lava place in act 2 (right after the ant queen) and I'm dropping below 30fps and I'm not entirely sure why. It seems like the goelms are the main culprits of the biggest slowdowns but the whole area will randomly slow down and speed up a little bit. I picked up the latest build and looked up some settings on the wiki and I had a couple things that were a little off, but it didn't change anything.

These are the settings I am following currently. Playing on x2 resolution, but can play on x6 with no impact to the fps and the slowdown areas still drop to the same levels. Is there something I'm missing or are the snowblind games still not quite perfected?

A bit inaccurate.
You need EE/IOP Clamping mode to Full to fix the crash.
