Crash landed me inside the Playstation menu

While i was doing a playthrough of dark chronicle today something I've never seen before happen. I managed to crash the game and somehow find myself inside some playstation menu of sorts, where i could click on disc to boot up the game again or select my memory cards and check what games were on it.

How i managed to crash the game wasn't on purpose but you'd almost think so. I was on the level "Final Trump Card" in dark chronicle and in a last ditch effort to get the medal from this level (which just requires you to kill all monsters with items only) i decided to just collected a bunch of monster together and use my 2x bombs left to blow them all up. I collected all the monsters in one place, at the same time they were glitching out because i guess the game can't render that many monsters at the same time. Anyways i threw my huge bomb and as soon as the explosion hit i got transferred to the Playstation menu. Got shocked that this was even possible on pcsx2 and was just wondering if this is common?

Printscreen after the 'crash'
(I used the pcsx2 printscreen button, the white buggy stuff in the printscreen actually was not shown for me)

Anyways, just wanted to share.  Cool

#PCSX2 version: any from 1.5.0 below.
#CPU options: IOP defaults - makes no change EE - interpreter can get a bit farther.
#Plugins latest GSDX opengl hardware and directx 11 hardware.
# Description: Certain levels like volkan city inferno will crash pcsx2 or freeze on a black screen or the now loading text. EE interpreter gets farther along then re compiler.

The strangest thing is that pcsx2 in linux 1.4.0 doesn't crash when such levels are loaded but due to issues with pcsx2's audio engine this game can only render audio in windows because if the latency is set above 3 to maybe 4 ms this game will not render audio which is only set able in windows async Linux goes as low as 40 ms.

Im having a problem with FPS "lock" on PCSX2 1.5.0. Is there any possibility to change PAL Framerate from 50.00 to 60.00? I cant edit ini config file cause it is overwriting every time, also make file read-only doesnt help. Anyone know fix for this?

Just wondering if there is a way to increse frames.

Greetings,
i have recently started to play ratchet and clank 3 on the emulator but it seems to only be running around 15-25 fps.
no textures are bugged out it is just running not that well.

PC SPECS:
Acer Aspire F 15
Intel Core i5-7200U 2.5GHz turbo boost up to 3.1GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 940MX with 2 GB dedicated VRam
8 GB DDR4 Memory
128 GB SSD.
Windows 10 64 bit

Not a high priority.

Cheers,
Plasma.
Biggrin

Also this loss of frames also happens on SSX3

How to increase framerate cap?

$

Regarding the game I'm playing is Kingdom Hearts 2 final mix, and I love the game and all and it works great on the emulator, the framerate is capped at 60, and the game is always dipping under that either by .5 frames or even 5 frames. This is very very small, but the problem being that this is constant, I can both see and feel it. My monitor refresh rate is 60hz, so if I can cap the fps at 80 that would be awesome.

I messed around with the settings myself, and I got the game to run at around 300 fps but the speed went up to 150 - 200%. I don't want that, is there a way to increase the framerate cap without making the game faster, just keep it at 100% / normal speed.

Any help would be appreciated!

Computer Specs: (If you need them)
CPU: AMD Phenom 3ghz
GPU: Gtx 1050 ti, 4gb VRAM
RAM: 8gb ddr3
Monitor: 60hz (If this helps)

Also a 64-bit OS, 64-bit based processor. (If this means anything)

Socom (USB Header) Working!

So after some messing around and getting the various Socom's to running very well, I had another go at getting the USB Headset working.
Below are the instructions I used. (I will include images as well.)

https://github.com/jackun/USBqemu-wheel/releases
In my case I used (Qemu-Jan 18 2018 0.6.1 {USBqemu-wheel-0.6.1})

I then enabled in the configuration Port 1: Logitech USB Headset and Device API Port 1: WASAPI
DF/DF Pro pass-through is also checked.

.png   Qemu USB Configuration 2018-03-25 04.04.16.png (Size: 19,58 KB / Downloads: 1)

WASAPI (Configure): Player 1: Set is your Mic. In my case it's a Blue Yeti

Audio Output: This would be your headphones/speakers etc... In my case I use VoiceMeeter Banana to route my audio.
Input/Output Buffers are both at 50.

From there enjoy commanding like the good ole days!!!

PS: This same plugin works with the G29 and Gran Turismo Smile

Hello, i'm really getting annoyed with this game, i solved the bug of the textures flashing and changing, but now the game simply hangs and can not do anything else, only the screen lock appears with the background playing music, how do i solve it, i hope this has nothing to do with my PC.

Dark Cloud 2 Crash at Ungergound Channel 3 Solution

I encountered this crash and got past it, I found this thread (https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Dark-Cloud-2-Crash) but it has been closed. For the sake of helping some future user who was also struck with nostalgia for this amazing game and might have gotten disappointed early in, I figured I would make a post about what worked for me. All hope is not lost!

I encountered the crash twice, in both cases I had shopped with Donny prior to entering the level. The first crash I watched the full cut scene and the second crash I skipped it.

I got past the crash after I did these two things, I'm not sure if either is truly relevant but it's worth a shot.
1) I had saved in the dungeon, so on the third boot I just selected lvl 3 and skipped the cut scene.
2) I looked up if there were any common PCSX2 crashes and tried switching my audio plugin to Direct 2 (which is not the default, so if you're like me and tried this emulator fresh out of the box you might have this). See this video for how to do this, it's in the Audio settings menu. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlLS6pN66M0

Other threads have commented that this level actually crashed quite a bit on the original PS2 as well, so (2) may have nothing to do with it and you may just need to keep trying. Nonetheless, I figured I shared in case it happens to be the trick for someone else out there.

Destroy All Humans 1 Glitch Graphics Problem

Hello, I have laptop Lenovo Legion Y720. The config is Core i7 7700HQ, 16GB ram DDR4, GTX1060 6GB and Intel HD 630. I try to run Destroy all Humans, but I get glitch issue, I try PCSX2 on latest builds beta and stable version, but on Directx HW don't work correctly. I try on Directx SW and works, but I need know if the devs will fix this issue ? Because I see some people have same problems on post here, but have passed 2 years and same problem persist.

60FPS Issues in KH2FM (Eng. Patch)

I'm attempting to run KH2FM on v1.4.0 while using this cheat to adjust the internal FPS:

// 60 FPS Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
patch=1,EE,00349E1C,extended,00000000

I'm convinced my hardware is more than capable of handling the strain, and yet I run into frequent FPS drops whenever a graphical load of any sort occurs (E.G. looking at a large background structure or certain skyboxes, a group of enemies spawning, etc.)

I'm not sure if there's a setting or speedhack I'm using that might cause these issues. Stranger still, I attempted a complete wipe of all settings and ran the game completely vanilla - aside from the 60FPS cheat, and I can't even come close to 60fps unless I'm running speedhacks.

EDIT: I might also add that the FPS drops occur in the same areas to the same degree even if I run the game on native resolution with zero shaders and anti-aliasing.

Maybe it IS just my hardware not being strong enough. If anyone can tell me for sure, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks! I'll post my rig and settings below.

Yakuza graphical error in opening

The first in-game segment of Yakuza (the cutscene with the dead body and the ring) has me experiencing an odd visual quirk that I'm clueless as to how to fix. Whenever the lightning strikes, the screen is briefly offset and two crossed lines appear over the screen.

What steps can I take to get this fixed?

Thanks in advance!
