I am having trouble figuring out how to run PCSX2 version 1.4.0 from a disk. I have changed the drive that CDVD uses to my actual drive. I have searched online for a solution to this issue but they all say the same thing: click on system, boot from CDVD. The problem is, I don't have a system button to click. If it helps, I am on the first time setup, and cannot get past that because I have no original PS2 to load games from, and the disk isn't working.

XBox One Controller Input Overright Lilypad
Hello everyone, I am having an issue I absolutely cannot find the solution to after searching a few hours. I am playing on my mac and can play games flawlessly, everything is fine until i try to get my controls configured. More specifically when i configure for the Dpad right and Dpad down they overright eachother. It works fine in other emulators such as OpenEmu but cant seem to budge it on PCSX2
I have tried reinstalling PCSX2, reinstalling xbox drivers, and turning off directinput makes the controller undiscovered and cannot select Pad 1 tab.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

60fps on "2D" game
Hi! i hacve a small question
Im using latest pcsx2 1.4 on XP 32bits, my PC is a dual core 3ghz, intel GMA x4500, 2Gb ram, DX9 Software plugin
Im testing King of Fighters 94 rebout, and get some slowdowns on menu and videos 35-45fps, but ingame i geta solid 60fps
I believe that maybe is too much for my CPU, then i open the task manager, and check CPU usage....
Ingame = 60fps - CPU usage 60-80%
Menu-Video = 35-45fps - CPU usage 55-75%
Any ideas why even if CPU usage is slight lower in menus and videos, im still get slowdown?

[SOLVED]Metal Gear Solid 3 - Post Processing?
I played through the game on PCSX2 1.2.1 on September 2015. The post-processing was disabled back then, and there were some slowdowns and graphical issues (such as the black smudges on the ground due to issues with the blending). I'm coming back right now, using PCSX2 1.4.0 and I heard that post-processing has been fixed for the game, though I can't find any real confirmation or comprehensive instructions as to how to get it working. I read about toning down the CRC hacks, which I think is a step in the right direction, but the game now has some strange visual artifacts covering the screen, with only the top left corner looking normal. Is this just an issue on my side, or has this just still not been fixed completely? Or has it only been fixed in a later build? Thank you very much in advance. I will post screenshots and more info if needed.

Please help with speed
Well, I have long wanted to emulate ps2 games but I never can. These days I downloaded The Getaway 1 and 2 to play them, but it's impossible. At the beginning of the game and kinetics, normally the speed drops to 50% or less and the FPS also goes down, so the game is very slow and I can not play it. Is there any solution?

God Hand (PAL) Slow!
Hey all, this is my first post on this forum.
So I'm having trouble getting God Hand to run too well on my PC with my preferences. I've tried fiddling with the settings and seems like at best I'll get around 70% speed.
I'm playing on 3x native res with the widescreen patch, other than that all the settings are vanilla. I've tried DX11, D9D and OpenGL - no distinct performance increase there with either of them. Oh and I'm running build 1.4.0.
My rig's got i5 3470, GTX 660 and 8GB ram, nothing impressive these days for sure but then there's videos like this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4uaqQ2O1q8 with the guy running the game on full speed at 1080p with a 60fps patch - and he's got quite a destitute setup with a HD 6310 which is a notebook GPU from 2013? Something seems to be off with my setup if this guy's computer outdoes mine by such a margin.
I've tried messing with the speedhack presets too but no dice :/
Any tips?

no cheats found when pnach name matches CRC
Not sure what I'm doing incorrectly. I'm playing the Persona 4 Undub, CRC: DE61647A and have tried both a popularly used pnach file and a file I made from scratch.
I have "Enable Cheats" on, My install path is in C:\ to bypass any admin problems, made sure the cheat format is correct. Still problem persists.
Am I missing something simple, maybe?

Fatal Frame II audio stuttering
I'm getting a lot of audio stuttering in Fatal Frame II, mostly when the characters talk outside of cutscenes. here's what it sounds like:

is there any way to fix this? the PCSX2 wiki mentions a problem where audio is too fast, but this isn't that - it's just plain stuttering. and even switching to an older version as it suggests doesn't do any good.

Shadow of the Colossus Graphical Issues.
Hi,
I recently started using this and I am experiencing a lot of graphical hiccups playing Shadow of the Colossus
-Weird black vertical bar on my right side of the screen that will randomly appear. http://i.imgur.com/nrIGDRg.jpg
-"Ghosting", I don't know what the proper terminology would be called, but around characters and objects there appears to be outlines of said models. It isn't just this game.. http://i.imgur.com/7EpvtAJ.jpg
Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks in advance.

im trying to get a pnach file for:
Tales of Legendia : Game CRC = 0x43AB7214
Shining Force Neo : Game CRC = 0xA82F2554
and before anyone gets mad and tell me i should learn to do them myself i would but i work alot dont have alot of time to game so i dont want to spend what little time i have trying to figure out how to make the pnach files when i barely have time to play games 1 or 2 hours a day
ps also thank you for anyone whos able to help me ether of these all im looking for
also for tales im only looking for a 4x or 6x type exp modifier and the same with shining force preferable nothing straight to max level and maybe a max money cheat that's about it

Lost my PSU Save :(
So last night i was playing Phantasy Star Universe. I went to the save screen like i always do and saved and then closed the emulator after i saved. I tried to load it up today and it said my load failed. The only things i changed on my ps2 emulator was that i added 3 new games and checked to see if they ran which they did. I even tried a system restore to an earlier time to see if i could recover my save and it didn't work. Its a REALLY long game and i do not want to restart. I figured i would try here before i gave up.

What is the status with AMD drivers' OpenGL performance?
I'm planning to replace my gtx 960 with an RX 480 soon but I have concerns due to OpenGL performance. Emulation is an important part for my regular gaming time. Am I guaranteed to get better performance than gtx 960 with an rx 480 or are the opengl drivers really bad?

Are they going to keep going and try to refine the code by fixing bugs or improving performance? Are they going to start PS3 emulation? something else?

[Bug report] Need for Speed Poursuite Infernale 2 PAL
PCSX2 version : 1.5.0-dev
Plugin used : GSdx 20160607001448 (MSVC 19.00, SSE41) 1.1.0 [GSdx32-SSE4]
Bug description :
On superpilote28 or 29, the game freeze if we win the first 3 races of the championship, and we get a title screen explaining us that we have gained enough point. The sound and picture continue to function normally but pressing the X button does not work.
I tried to use a keyboard key to test, but it's the same.
I tested every possible hack in the video settings.
I lowered the resolution to minimum because it makes freeze the game, sometimes.
Same bug on 1.4
