Settings for B-Boy on Q6600@3 Ghz, Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX

Hello guys,

I'm new to pcsx2..Could somebody plz, plz suggest the settings for the PS2 game "B-Boy"?

I've just installed the official vanilla version from the main page.

Do I need any plugins?

The sound is kinda choppy and the game lags somehow.

Cheat for Chocobo Race in FFX

Obviously to get a below 0 result and get the sun sigil (or whatever it is). This minigame is way too infuriating and I do not have a spare weekend to be ruined. 

I am running the international version on windows 8.0 if that is of any significance. If anyone could let me know how to cheat the race, or better yet, the sun sigil itself (I do NOT want all the key items, I intend to play the game normally), that would be very much appreciated!

Should I get more CPU or GPU?

I have a good chunk of money and am not sure whether I should upgrade my CPU(intel i3-4130) or my GPU(AMD Radeon HD 5450). Which of these is a more cost effective trade when it comes to running emulators better?:
intel i3-4130 -> intel i7-4770k
AMD Radeon HD 5450 -> GeForce GTX 980

Holy moly, this game does not run well for me AT ALL. I get past the initial start up screens ok, but it tanks really hard in fps with some weird flickering, ridiculous looking effects, and missing textures(See attachment.) I've tried using F9 but I only get ~20-25fps if that. not playable at all.

Sooo i was reading configuartion guide for 1.2.1 and ill quote it below

"from slowest to fastest: SSE2, SSSE3, SSE4.1, AVX and AVX2. The new AVX and AVX2 instructions give a minor speed up only with the software renderers of GSdx and not the hardware ones."


Does this mean i should use SSE4.1? if im using hardware mode?
kinda seems senseless to selecr AVX2 if im using Direct3D11 Hardware mode

Hey guys i'm playing kingdom hearts 2 final mix and i've got to atlantica but problem is i can't continue on if i can't beat sebastian's musical thing but only reason i can't pass is i can't even see the circle guage. Like i see it telling me to press O button but i can't see that little bar that gets drained so that i can know when to press it. Anyone got suggestions on what to do? im using an english patch but i've tried to run the game without the english patch and the same results.

NFL 2K5 freezes occasionally on certain menus

The game works fine, but on certain menus(sportcenter video, sometimes crib, sometimes when editing playbook) I'm not sure what the problem is.

I'm on safest setting also with the only other change being directSound.

Any help? Windows 10 btw

I just wondering if its possible to overclock my 3517u i7 1.9 ghz low voltage ultrabook for more frames' but strangely it plays all most all my games i throw at it i guess that's from turbo boost technology lol. So if it cant be overclock i wont be mad.   Biggrin

[split] PCSX2 1.2.1 (r5875) crashes after 10 minutes

Hello everyone.

I have the same trouble with any game not matters which one, i've tried snk vs capcom, automodellista, shadow hearts 2, need for speed carbon, and many more and it crashes around 10-15 minutes, i did never touch any config everything is default. 

My PC Specs: Win10 x64, AMD FX8150, Nvidia GTX 660, RAM 32gb. latest pcsx2 version, iso games. My log file is attached on the pic.

Another God of War 2 Help Request

Hello, I'm new here.

I just wanted to ask for help for my PCSX2 issue with God of War 2. I downloaded the latest version of PCSX2 and everything was working great until the cutscene where Atlas explans to Kratos his beef with Zeus. Everytime the scene goes to the part when Zeus leaves in a huge thunder portal link in the Thor movies, the program hangs on the one frame of that scene over and over again until it crashes.

I tried other known methods:

1) I tried the Skip MPEG hack: After Kratos breaks the chain of Atlas, in lieu of the aforementioned cutscene or even the QTE prior, the screen goes black and I control Kratos, but he is fighting nothing. I restart the checkpoint hoping I pasted the cutscene, but I'm right back where I started.

2) I tried the use GSDX software rendering for cutscenes but as soon as I reached the Atlas Chains, the game crashes

3) I've shutting off the speedhacks: The Zeus cutscene problem

4) I tried changing the video plugin: the Zeus problem again.

Long story short I'm at my wits end. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey recently i found out how to play on pcsx2 with a ps4 controller.
I tried to play ratchet & clank going commando but the fps dropped from 50-80 to 2..

I have a Problem in my Tales of the Abyss. The Game's Screen stop loading or It is not moving but the Sounds is still on going. There is still a Sounds going on. But the Screen is not Moving at all. Can you Help me please ? Idk if this is already Solved cause I'm New here.

Okay so this is an entirely self serving thread XD. But I've been using my avatar for almost the entire time I have been here, and I'd like a new one. Of course, I suck at that lol. So I'd like someone to make me one please. Best one gets THREE repz, all others get one rep.

I'm currently having a Problem in TotA. I always get Freezed screen but the sound is still there. The Background sound is still there. But the Screen stays in a loading Screen.

So i'm new to this and playing some old games i grew up on and figured i'd try out the cheat system. But i keep getting "overall 0 cheats loaded"

PCSX2 freezing when attempting to use mouse

Hi all, after plenty of fiddling I managed to get PCSX2 installed and configured to run timsplitters: future perfect. the keyboard bindings are now working fine but whenever I attempt to use my mouse (set up to deliver right analog stick commands), PCSX2 freezes up. Is this a common issue that can be solved? Could I have just configured my mouse wrong?

i am very new to this emulator and finnaly got it working to day so i tryed 3 games megaman x command mission
mortal kombat shaulin monks and need for speed most wanted
i notice in megaman that megamans shadows looks like a cube and in both games the grapics have alot of pixxels
need for speed looked like crap and was realy slow
know i wanna know what is the best way of setting up pcsx2 what plugins to use for grapics and audio and does it depend what hardware u use (like amd or nvidia)

LOTR Third Age fixed?

Does anyone through these 5 years found a fix for these annoying black lines glitch? I know, that the can be avoided in software mode, but the game is unplayable. I know, that switching to software and then back to hardware fixes the problem for a while (for me, few seconds) but then the lines come back. So, does anyone know how to fix this?
