I have an AMD FX-8320
GTX 970
16 GB of ram
On Windows 10 version 15002

with my pc specs I am pretty sure I should have no problems running this game super smooth, Yet I keep getting choppy frame rates, even if I turn all the enhancements off. Do you think the cause could be that I am using a Windows 10 insider preview build? If that's the problem, then does anyone have any suggestions to rectify the problem? Weather within windows, or within pcsx2.

I'm using a laptop that 95% of the time is suffering of low ram(1gb)and the way I understand it,readyboost is something like making a pagefile on the usb/sd drive but my question is....aren't those slower in read speed compared to the hdd(I'm not talking about those ssd kind of flash/sc devices but normal onces that you can get from anywhere and cheap)

For example while checking with HDTune,my 32gb flash drive is 4 times slower than the hdd so how that will help with ram problems...or maybe this feature requires ssd kind of devices to actually get anything good out of that feature

Hi guys! I have the game mostly working. I've searched the forums for previous posts and I've found a few, but I'm stuck trying to find something called "fast texture invalidation" as a hack I'm supposed to enable. I'm just not finding it in the Video (GS) plugin settings.

Currently the game is running at 41fps sitting still but with the mammoth CPU I'm throwing at this, I should (in all reality) be able to pull the nearly 60 required to run this smoothly for the most part.
Basic specs are included in my signature for the gaming rig I'm on now (just on my lunch at the office otherwise I'd post more details about my rig).

I am trying to find out what the latest and best plugins are for version 1.5.0 that are the best plugins for my system. I tried researching it on Google to no avail. If someone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Here are my system specs:

I've been working my way through my old games and have gotten up to RC3, but I've encountered an issue. On the planet daxx, i keep getting DMA errors, and having the game freeze. I'll admit I'm somewhat a novice when it comes to fixing these issues, does anyone know what I can do to fix it?

Hey guys, for a while now I've been trying to play Dance Summit 2001, however the stages Hanazono, Kita 2001 and Queen's High School all end up hanging at fixed points in the stage, where the sound continues until the song ends and the crowd cheer then loops endlessly. Jungle Rock seems to be the only one able to play the whole way through. I have used version 1.4.0, 1.1.0 r5452 (the version listed on the wiki) and the most recent dev build (as of writing), 1.5.0 dev1799, all on default settings, preset 2 as well as the config/plugins for r5452 listed on wiki. Each version crashes at the same points. Here's the emuLog after the hang, although from what I can tell it doesn't show evidence of a crash or any other issues.

Running the game from the disc itself gives no differences, using fast boot and full boot doesn't change anything. Not using any save files either. Nothing changes between Direct3D11, Direct3D9 or OpenGL, both hardware and software.
The only improvement I've found from changing settings is that preset 6 makes these stages last about... a couple of seconds longer than they normally would before the hang. Not quite sure where else to go from here...
There seem to be a couple of topics for this game through the forum search with these exact issues, though most all of them seemed to have died without a response. (trust me, I've tried the solutions posted in them as well)
I've attached screenshots of where each stage freezes at. The blue bar at the top signals where in the song it takes place.

Buongiorno, in questi giorni ho sentito il bisogno di rigiocare "Legaia 2: Duel Saga" e quindi ho riaperto PCSX2 e ho avviato il gioco...che purtroppo ha deciso di laggare in ogni scena, battaglia, camminando o anche solo stando fermi. In passato ci ho già giocato su PCSX2, ma non mi ricordo che settings avevo all'epoca..
Comunque ho provato a scaricare versione aggiornata, da 1.0.0 a 1.4.0, ho scaricato un bios aggiornato e ho provato a smanettare tra i vari setting...Niente da fare, il gioco continua a laggare e non riesco ad avere un gameplay scorrevole. Ho cercato su internet e ho letto qualche post sul vostro sito ma non ho trovato niente che mi potesse aiutare.. Quindi chiedo se qualcuno di voi sa che setting debba impostare e in caso di plugin necessari quali e dove trovarli.. Grazie

L! Button in Games

Hi I'm having some troubles with my controls. First off I am using an xbox 360 wired controller. Anyhow the problem is any game I boot up acts as if I am pressing down the l1 button. An example, in darkcloud 2 I can't even get past the first fight because i am stuck in "Fireblast" mode(L1+Attack). In DBZ Budokai 3 when i'm flying on the world map My character is always flying to the left in full boost mode....I thought maybe it was the l1 button being stuck on my controller so I cleaned it. Still have  the issue, so I tried emulating in SNESX9. I played metroid and mapped l1 so if it is being pressed I would aim upwards. If my l1 was stuck it would be stuck in the shoot upward animation, but it was not...so It couldnt be my l1 button being stuck....what else could it be?? any help appreciated

Hello, guys. I was playing WA: acf and after the first dungeon mission, the emulator/game froze during the map animation. Anyone knows if there is a know fix for this? I looked on the pcsx2 wikia and the data there seems really outdated. Thanks in advance.

PCSX2 streaming issue

Hey Forum,

Decided to post here because I'm pulling my hairs out trying to solve this issue. Worst part is that I've been working in IT for 5 years now and this is the thing that 'kills' me Laugh.

I have PCSX2 setup at my home PC and turned my PS2 games into ISO's. via IMGBURN.
I have downloaded SCP to enable my PS3 controller to play these games properly.

When I plug my PS3 controller into my home computer, everything works fine, without issues.
Now I learned about emulation station and decided to turn an old laptop into an thinclient for my TV. As you can expect, this old laptop is not strong enough to play PS2 games on it.

Therefor I decided to stream games via STEAM for ease of access.
I downloaded and installed emulationstation for a quick way to boot games and not mess with CLI commands.

The problem that I'm facing, is that whenever I press the circle button, PCSX2 seems to close and fills the screen with the blue starting window. (where you can select system, cdvd, config, misc, debug). This means that any game I play, the moment I press the circle button, it stops.

To make sure, that emulationstation is not the cause, I added pcsx2 with CLI command directly to the steam library, and booted up the game. I still receive the same issue.
Then I wanted to know, that this maybe is something of steam / emulationstation, so I decided to download a NES emulation and download (yes yes I know, not allowed, strictly for testing purposes, although I do have a legit NES w/ super mario bros 3 lying next to my TV (retro Laugh) and streamed it via steam > emulation station. The circle button works and acts like it should.

So it is PCSX2 which is causing this issue. I tried to recreate the binds for the controller, but to no avail.
Has anyone encountered such an issue or knows a way to solve this?

Please note that I plug my controller in my laptop 'thinclient'. Because I have my controller hooked up on another computer, this issue happens.

Missing Game Text

When I run Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocterne on PCSX2 1.4.0 some text is missing/broken in the game. All my other games work fine without problems or missing text. I even went and got another version of the game, but came across the same result. Do I need to change a setting or maybe a plugin?

I have just recently started having this issue. My PS4 controller (Use ScpServer to run it) was working fine and then it just stopped registering in the game. I checked everything different USB ports, The controller was still registering in the ScpServer, In all my other emulators, and even in the test pad page of the lilypad settings everything was configured and even registering sensitivity of the triggers. However when I load up a game it does not work. I've used this emulator for several years back when it was in v1.2.1 now updated to v1.4.0 and never had the issue until 3 days ago. Does anybody know how to fix this I've tried everything that I can think of as a possible fix and google doesn't seem to know either. Thanks in advance.

Cutscene lag on my Laptop

As in the thread subject, I have a problem with the cutscene lag on my laptop. When there are the cutscenes, the emulation speed is above the 30% and the audio is very strange. The game is playable, but the only problem is I can't see the cutscenes in a normal way.

My computer settings:
Intel core i7-4710HQ 2.50GHz
Ram 16 Gb
GPU Nvidia geforce gtx 850m

I'd want solve this problem. Thank you for your help!

Blurry image, no matter the settings?

Hey guys. 

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me why a lot of PCSX2 games seem to have a grossly blurry picture, regardless of what settings are applied? For example, playing Fatal Frame with the following settings...

...gets me the following picture (open in a new tab to see the fine detail, or lack thereof).

And changing the settings does not seem to affect the way the picture looks. 

What does change, curiously, is the written text that the game displays. If I change the resolution to "Native" and turn off anisotropic filtering, the dialogue looks like this:

If I change the settings to x8 and x16 respectively, there is a marginal improvement:

Can anyone explain the lack of results to me?
