60Fps code for Metal Gear Solid 3 PAL - Help

Hi, I've been trying to convert the 60fps code to the pal-i (SLES_82044) [5A31EA42] version of metal gear solid 3 subsistence for over a year.
I also purchased an original copy of the ntsc version to be able to compare the .elf files of the two versions but unfortunately I was unable to find a solution.
Is there anyone able to help me? even witouth using any cheat and setting the speed to 120% the 60fps obtained are "false" and the game in general is not smooth.
The ntsc version runs perfectly at fluid 60fps, is there a tool or someone able to convert or create a version of the code to be used for the Italian version of the game? I am so desperate that I am even willing to pay.
I didn't want to disturb the forum people with my incompetence so I waited a long time trying to learn to do it myself, but I failed.

Hello guys i am using pcsx2 1.7.0 version and i playing Mortal Combat Shaolin Monks all is good but when i want to use fatality or when i need to use fatality for bosses i cant cuz the keys doenst show at the fatality screen u can check it at the picture i posted.(sry for bad english) it doesnt show the keys like (up,down,left, Square)

low cpu usage

hi

i have a laptop that is below average but pcsx2's cpu usage is 70 percent at most while i got about 40fps (which actually means 20fps)

ee is near 100 percent but cpu usage is 70 percent and that's confusing!

most of the time i got 60fps but in the wide areas it came under 50fps! mtvu is turned on (if i turn it off i get even lower fps) pcsx2 version is 1.6 and preset is 3 (4 or above gave false fps) vsync is off and laptop's power plan is high performance

default configuration except 2x resolution and crc hack on aggressive (fps does not change when using other crc hack settings) funny thing is on native resolution i got same exact fps!

using opengl or turning on 8-bit textures didn't help either

intel core i3 4000m 2.4ghz
nvidia gt 740m
2*4gb ddr3 ram
windows 7 sp1 64bit

my question is why cpu usage never get above 70 percent?

Devil May Cry 2 Dante's Unholy Majin Form

Haven't been here in a while, picked up some action replay codes for devil may cry 2 (thank you web archive and codejunkies), used multiconverter to decrypt them into raw then pnach'd them, two codes I had on were infinite devil trigger and dante is always in his majin devil form, but.....I dont think he's meant to look like the 1st attachment or the 2nd

His character seems to not want to obey physics, nor does he like to have all his body parts in their proper spots, and I shudder to think what his majin form looks like without cheats

I added the emulog as an attachment, but its been a LONG while since I've been here, so if I need to provide more, then it shall be done

The Lord of the Rings The Third Age blur/mirror problem

In this game i have blur effect in main menu and in cutscenes only. Its not big deal but if someone know how to fix this it will be better experience.
i made 3 screenshots with this problem.
1st is with native (no problem).
2nd is with x3 native (blury).
3rd is with x6 native i play (very blury).
Any help will be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Destroy All Humans 2 crashing

Hi, I'm using PCSX2 version 1.6.0 (Installer version)

Video mode Direct3D 11 software mode with all settings default, The GS Windows aspect ratio is set to widescreen 16:9 and any other settings are left untouched.

I did try hardware mode with skipdraw 5 but it results in other undesirable glitches like unreadable text/subtitles and such, although it does fix collision issues like objects/characters getting stuck in geometry, so yeah I'm playing on software mode and haven't played on hardware mode extensively and the game is crashing after like half an hour and sometimes when I get shot or losing a mission and loading, PCSX2 simply closes and crashes to desktop, I don't know if this issue is due to software mode or if it happens on hardware mode, either there's a problem with the disk/iso or maybe this is a bug with the current version of PCSX2.

My game version is American/NTSC, I don't know if that matters.

This thread contains some hints and troubleshooting how you should proceed whenever you have problems with PCSX2 on GNU/Linux.

Others might point you to this thread because your post is lacking necessary information in order to give you further assistance. Please read through this Text carefully, and modify your original post then.

Some of this points will not apply to all problems, however: Try to provide as much information as you can. This will increase your chance on getting faster/better responses.
 
Basic troubleshooting
  • Try to launch PCSX2 from Terminal directly (Don't use shortcuts/Start menu entries etc.) to avoid possible problems with these.
  • Try to restart with a new PCSX2-configuration (Close PCSX2 when running, backup & delete config in $HOME/.config/PCSX2, re-run First-time wizard)
  • Verify your Hard- and Software meets the minimum requirements, see here: https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2#system-requirements
Graphics/Video Troubleshooting
  • Can you run other 3D-OpenGL Applications (Games) on your system? If no, it's most likely not an issue with PCSX2.
Sound Troubleshooting
  • No Sound: Verify your configuration works: Are you able to play other sources like Music, Movies...? If not, solve that first.
If troubleshooting doesn't help, and you cannot find a thread already covering your problem, feel free to create a new topic. Include as much as possible from the following.
Make sure to embbed logs/console outputs etc. using the code-format to keep your text better readable.

Title
Create an appropriate title, that should include your distro, the PCSX2-version and your problem. A few examples:
  • Ubuntu 20.04, PCSX2 1.6.0: Glitches in Sound playback
  • Fedora 31, PCSX2 1.7.0: Crash on Controller input (XBOX One Controller)
  • Debian 10, PCSX2 1.4.0: Cannot start PCSX2, "libXXX missing"

Guitar Hero 2 Cheat Trouble

Hello All! I am playing Guitar Hero II and wanted to input the cheat to unlock everything, but I can't because the "Orange" button on the Guitar controllers are set to the X button on dualshock. When I input the orange button, or X, as part of the code, it enters whatever menu selection is currently highlighted. I must be on the main menu to input the cheat, but I leave it when pressing X. Any tips?

Need help with FMV

I had nowhere else to go on asking this, so here it is: I'm trying to extract the FMV from OrphenWackocion of Sorcery but all the tutorials says something about .PSS files, but there are no .PSS files, justa bunch of .BIN and .MV3 files, so how do I extract the FMV from this game? I tried a lot of stuff from these tutorials and none of them worked. Tried extracting the .BIN using a .BIN reader and nothing too.

24 the game ever running at a decent speed... even on my i5 9600k  it barely hits 18fps... (EE is pegged out at 100% so framerate suffers)

Hello, i created small mod by editing currently available ps2dis files. Is little bit hacky, but work fine for me. Not sure there is still someone beside me that use ps2dis in 2020, so probably that's not gonna be hot release.  Biggrin

Important: To clean previous ps2dis settings run .reg file from this release, otherwise colors/font not gonna be replaced. For people that are scared run .reg file, you can just delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hanimar\ manually. For people that never used ps2dis earlier, that step is not required.


Changes to original:

- New Theme (Dark)
- New executable, that allow to create .pnach format codes for pcsx2 from patch menu (word codes only, no byte/half support)
- Added CTRL + A shortcut, that will invoke analyzer
- Fixed minor alignment gui issue when loading binary files
- Added some more hardware registers to ps2.map file
- Changed default font size to 12-14 (originally 8)
- Changed Patch List window size little bit

SSX 3 Random Speed Drops

Hey All,

New to the forum.  I skimmed through some of the pinned forums but couldn't find what I was looking for.  The Graphics section focused on graphical bugs and glitches rather than speed improvements so I didn't look there.

I've recently rekindled my love of SSX 3 and finally got it running on PCSX2.  On some courses, the game runs just fine.  However, on certain courses with excess lighting and track features, I've noticed that the game tends to slow down quite substantially (~50% speed).  Worst of all, it's inconsistent, causing the game to speed up and slow down randomly, sometimes multiple times within the same string of tricks, which can really throw off my timing, causing otherwise avoidable fails.  The sound is distorted to match the game's slower speed as well and it can really kill the mood of SSX 3's up beat soundtrack.

I would honestly prefer frame rate drops or graphical quality hits over speed fluctuations in a game like this.  My question is, how can I configure PCSX2 to sacrifice some other game aspect (graphics quality, frame rate drops) to avoid speed drops?

I'm using the latest stable version of PCSX2 (1.6.0) and the graphical plugin I've set is GSdx 20200506140834 (MSVC 19.25 SSE4.1/AVX) 1.2.0 [GSdx32-SSE4].

As for my PC specs, my CPU's a bit old but meets recommended requirements (by a hair).  GPU should be up to snuff.  Never posted on a forum like this so let me know if I'm missing anything important.  Here's the specs I've collected thus far.


CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K CPU
RAM: 2x8gb DDR3
GPU: GTX 1080 16GB
OS: Windows 10 Pro x64

Hi all. I recently started playing guitar hero 5 on pcsx2 and I found out that this game supports 4 guitars, i.e. 4 players. Since I don't have 4 guitars, I proceeded to use 4 controls that I have at home and they work perfectly, in such a way that I activated the guitar plugins in the control settings for each one. The problem is that only the first 2 controls work for me when I enter the game, this one recognizes them as a guitar but the other 2 do not work. I don't know if I have to activate an option within the game to be able to use the 4 guitars or if I missed activating an option in the configuration or if I did something wrong. I even tried mapping the buttons on both ports but they don't work either, so I would appreciate someone helping me. I attach the game and configuration images. I have PCSX2 1.6.0. and use 2 controllers PS3 and 2 controllers XBOX 360. If I missed adding something I'll be aware

NASCAR Thunder 2003 Stutter and lag issue.

So, it seems like NASCAR Thunder 2003 lags and stutters on my PC. This intermittent stuttering happens like every 8-ish seconds or so, and lasts about 4-6 seconds, then it goes back to normal for a while, rinse and repeat.

I've seen a couple videos of people emulating it on YouTube, and it seems like they don't have this issue. Specifically this video: https://youtu.be/gFQ8XnH5-IU?t=733 (seems to be running at a higher framerate too).
I tried using the settings for the graphics plugin he has posted in the description, but my emulator still has this stuttering/lag issue. I tried to reach out to him and ask him what his settings where in more detail and the version of PCSX2 he was using, but to no avail, he never got back to me. 

Strangely, NASCAR 2006 runs just fine with 0 slowdown and very little to NO issues with lag or stutter. So I'm at a loss here.

Does anyone have any pointers? Any suggestions? I've posted this question on the unofficial subreddit, but its either not being noticed, or something else. Anything would be of great help.

Hello,
I'm new to the PCSX2 Emulator. I know it runs best on PC but I don't have a PC i'm always on the go so I installed it on my laptop. The game runs at best with everything moving on screen at roughly 40 to 50 speed and sometimes slower. I looked at the system requirements and I'm pretty sure my laptop can handle it unless I'm missing something. Game I'm trying to run is NCAA 06 by the way

SCP DS3 Not Working

I had an HP 17-bs0xx. SCP DS3 ran absolutely fine on it. But I recently bought a newer laptop and I installed SCP DS3 the same way. I installed all the necessary components like Visual C++ packages. Installed the driver for PS3 controller USB. No Bluetooth or PS4 drivers were installed. However, in the SCP Monitor is says Gamepad 1 is disconnected. The driver is running under task manager but it says DSx instead of DS3. Not sure if that matters. It appears others have had this problem too. Has anyone figured out a solution?
