My system specs are:

Ram 8GB
i also have installed VC redist 2013, 2015 and my DirectX is 12.
and i have not touched the speedhacks or anything like that

Can you guys help me solve this issue?
Thank you in advance!

BTW here is the log:

Persona 4 lag inside TV.

On title there's a small lag before the menu shows. In game normally there's no lag on the "real world", but if I go inside the TV, sound starts to be strange and image starts to lag on dialogue, battle and any interaction.

The pcsx2 version I'm using is 1.2.1

I only changed some things on video settings:
Adapter: Nividia GeForce GT630
Renderer: Direct3D11 (Hardware)
Iterlacing: (F5) None

Custom Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Texture Filtering: disabled

Here's my specs:

CPU: AMD AM3+ FX 8350 Vishera
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 630
RAM: 2x 4GB DDR3 1866MHz

Hotkey Suggestion for PCSX2 (both windows and linux)

Because you guys have 2 different threads for 2 different versions of pcsx2 it would be a pain if i posted this in one and be told i put it in the wrong place since it deals with both the linux version and the windows version.
I don't know if anyone has suggested this before or not but.
Can you guys add 3 hotkeys for Game Volume control in pcsx2 that are specific to the spu2 So that we don't have to open the menu every time we want to either mute, turn up, or turn down the games volume.
I like to listen to music outside of the games i play sometimes and its a pain to have to open a menu every time i want to make a change to something like the games volume. (Sure i could turn down my computers volume but that defeats the purpose of trying to play music over the game e.e)
Can someone please grant my selfish request :3

Devil May Cry graphical issue.

The latest updates to the wiki for it seem to be some time ago.

Graphic Glitches
  • Status: Active
  • Type: Serious
  • Description: Some boxes appear at the top of the screen making progress difficult.
  • Workaround: Either use the Native option in GSdx r4600 or use an old version of GSdx like 0.1.14 or r890
The latest builds on the page all show 2010-2011 since the latest updates to the page. Has anyone found a way around this now?   It happens in the opening cutscene, and I imagine elsewhere

Anyone have any ideas?

Not Locating .iso file (soul calibur III)

Hey guys, I'm new to pcsx2 and I wanted to play soul calibur III. I have the Soulcalibur III.iso file saved
in the bios folder

The path is:

C:\Users\MyPC\Documents\PCSX2\bios\Soulcalibur III\Soulcalibur III.iso

The problem is that upon loading pcsx2, when it asks me to select a BIOS to run, I tell the
program to look in this location and upon hitting refresh, nothing shows up (the iso file isn't found when it's there which is weird)
I have my file explorer set to show hidden items, etc.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

PAL or NTSC versions best for PCSX2?

Hello, I've been having some weird issues with my PAL versions of a few games that I was unable to find solutions to.

In Silent Hill 2, sometimes there's a problem when transitioning to FMV cutscenes where the screen will go black and the music will go for one full loop before the video starts. This has nothing to do with the video distortion that can be solved by going into software mode. Only difference there is that in software mode, the blank screen will be white instead of black.

In Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne (Or Lucifer's Call, as it's named over here) there is a transparent gray bar that overlays the HUD elements in the top 1/5 or so of the screen.

I've been experimenting with the emulator settings and googling possible solutions to no avail. So, on a whim I decided to try the NTSC versions of these same games, and none of them have these issues; they both worked perfectly. So - is PCSX2 optimized for the NTSC versions, and PAL underserved?

Trouble creating an ISO from a Disc Image File (NOOB)

To preface this, I have gone through general trouble shooting here, read everything on Disc and ISO issues and watched an hour or more of tutorials and still having issues. I downloaded IMG BURN and and went through that whole process. I am left with a disc image file is in the bios folder but when i boot up the emulator it is no where to be found and I am stuck at first time config screen where you select a BIOS rom. It will not show up when i select refresh list. I don't know if I am missing something super simple and obvious or not. In every video I have watched, not one of them had these types of files. I dont know where Im going wrong. Any help is appreciated. I do apologize if I am missing something simple. If i have not provided enough information please let me know. I will provide what I have to, I just want to play old games again Sad

Ds3 suddenly started not being recognized

Hello guys, I always played with my ds3 on win10 thanks to scp drivers. But a few days ago my pc started not recognizing the ds3. I mean, whenever i plug it in, the "usb device not recognized" pop-up appears.
And.. I don't know if it's important but i bought a wireless mouse like two weeks ago (but the pad worked till two days ago) and my usb cable is not the original one from ps3.
I think I have all the drivers updated the usb ports are 100% working.

Do you know what could be the problem?

Thanks.

ps2 homebrew development tools need to be updated

GCC 3.2.3 and binutils 2.14 are very old versions of those tools... (GCC 5.2 and binutils 2.25 are the latest versions now)
Also, these older build tools will fail to compile with newer compilers. (You need old versions of tools to compile these old tools!)
https://github.com/ps2dev/ps2toolchain

There's a lot of usage of invalid lvalue assignments and other old compiler bug usage in ps2sdk, which prevents compiling on modern compilers...
https://github.com/ps2dev/ps2sdk

If there will be a PS2 bios replacement (like fps2bios), PS2 homebrew tools need to be cleaned up and updated.

Other homebrew projects like uLaunchELF, GS Mode Selector, Open PS2 Loader, and others also rely on these tools.

Good day pcsx2 community,

I'm kinda new here in this forum, but ive been using pcsx2 for a long time now. So here is my concern.

Ive just bought my self a new computer that I assembled my self (specs on the bottom of this post) and installed windows 10 and the latest nvidia driver on it. Then when I installed pcsx2, in opened properly, but once I run any game that I have, it always seems to crash and stops responding. I tried every possible setting I know to fix it and tried different bios types but non seem to do the trick. Ive used pcsx2 on different pc's and it seems to run very well, but on my new rig, I just can't seem to make it work. Is this because of windows 10? or some other factor. Please help me, I dont know what to do anymore XD I really want to play my games. Is anyone experiencing the same problems? Your reply will be very much appreciated.

Computer specs:
intel i7 3770
nvdia gtx 760
8gb corsair vengeance ram 1600mhz

Fascinated at the quality of original assets!

Digging deeper into my library and trying out more games on PCSX2. (As well as Wii/GC with Dolphin)

I am just stunned at the quality of assets, especially textures, that were generated for these games that the developers knew no one would ever get to see when playing in SD on original hardware! I just ran GTA III, and apart from a quirky issue with the fonts (It seems like the outlines of the fonts are offset slightly, giving the letters a "dirty" look), the textures, the storefronts, the posters all over the city, they are all pretty goddamned stunning, and nothing like the muddy mess you get on original hardware.

Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 also, just insanely detailed texture work that could never be truly appreciated on the jag-fest that is the Wii. I am simultaneously elated and saddend - it must have been heartbreaking for the artists to see their work so badly served by the hardware.

Paper Mario for the GC is just insane. Even without HD texture packs, but with anisotropic filtering on - at my viewing distance I am unable to see the jagged edges of the textures. It blows me away.

Even SMT Lucifer's Call/Nocturne, which is after all a fairly budget niche title. Playing at hi-res with AA and anisotropic filtering is just gorgeous, and akin to what I'd expect from a well-polished indie title on modern consoles. (with one exception - for some reason the protagonist's body tattoos are really lo-res textures - but they only really stick out in close-up cutscenes.)

It seems crazy to me that all these assets were generated at this level of quality  - but I am not complaining! This is truly the way to go back and rediscover these games! Biggrin

Odd gray lines?

Hi. I thoroughly enjoy being able to take old PlayStation 2 games, put them in a computer, connect a PlayStation 4 controller, and play away, and everything (except mip-map issues in some games) is perfect with PCSX2 for doing just that. But I've noticed one issue that is really bugging me, and in fact I've made a forum account -only- to ask about this very issue.

(Click the image for double resolution so you can see it better.)

Every second vertical pixel, everything seems darker. Not fully black, just darker. It doesn't matter if I play at the native resolution with a small window, full 1920x1080 internal resolution at 1920x1080 full-screen, or even native resolution at 1920x1080 full-screen, every second vertical pixel shown (not necessarily every second internal-rendering-pixel) is darker.

I have an nVidia GeForce GTX 970 GPU, and I use the default graphic plug-in. Regardless of whether I run in software or hardware, DirectX 9 or 11, the gray lines are there, although the OpenGL renderer doesn't have the lines... but I won't use that, since... well, there's no mip-mapping issues in most games I like, so I wanna play in 1080p, and the OpenGL renderer only supports the native resolution. Plus the DirectX renderers probably look better and have less glitches, too.

I've observed this in Rayman Revolution (PAL (thus why the window title says 50 FPS in the image), played straight from the disc) and Sonic Heroes (PAL, same). I haven't played any other games on PCSX2 on my new desktop, but I assume the same goes for other games.

If any additional info is needed, ask away. (Oh, and I have a 64-bit Windows 10.)

Need Help with Xbox one Controller on PCSX2

OK so im not exactly sure what the issue is here. For all other emulators (PS1 and PSP) the buttons work fine. When i play Kingdom Hearts  the camera is turned with the right triggers on the XBOX One controller. For some reason my camera is constantly spinning and basically behaves as if the button is being pressed down when it actually isn't. I have it hooked up via USB and I'm on Windows. I've been trying to record this game for a while and haven't been able to because i can't get things fixed.

P.S. I have played around with sensitivity settings and I've tried multiple controllers to no avail.

Xbox One Controller help!?

I'm trying to map my Xbox One controller, but it constantly tries to map my triggers as analogs. And the one time I 'think' I managed to get it too work, tried in game, and it was as if a button was being constantly pressed. Any help on this issue? Any config files lying around?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you! Smile
