Slow Motion... Please help

Hello this is my first time using PCSX2(1.4.0). 

I am trying to run SOCOM 2 US NAVY SEALS but the game is in slow motion everytime I try to run it. The menus are ok but inside the game its just slow motion along with the audio. 

In the plugin settings the gs is set to gsdx23-avx and inside I have set it to my NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti.

The internal resolution is set to native.

One thing I noticed is that when I go into the plugin bios/selector I can see an error in the console:

Path: C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\SOCOM\pcsx2\Plugins\gsdx32-avx2.dll
File is not a valid dynamic library.
Some kinda plugin failure: C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\SOCOM\pcsx2\Plugins\gsdx32-avx2.dll

I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Below are my pc specs:


Intel Core 1.7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
16 GB of Ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

Silent Hill - shattered memories graphical glitch

I started up a Silent Hill-SM iso and everything seemed fine, then the scene started with psychologist and there was no character model (sounds like the start of a creepypasta). After answering the questionnaire he gives you, his model finally appears. After that I get to play but my character model and the light of the flashlight are all kinds of kerf*ckled.

Included are also the settings I'm using.

Can't install PCSX2, c++ redistributable install stuck on "processing windows 81 x64"

Hey guys!

I've recently taken interest in older PS2 games and found some that I've wanted to try for myself. The problem is, I'm unable to successfully complete the installation for PCSX2, as when it starts installing the C++ redistributable 2015, the latter gets stuck at the end, where it says "processing windows 81 x64".

I've been looking for ways to solve this problem for two days now, and have tried every single resource I could get my hands on, from StackOverflow to the official Microsoft forums, but nothing seems to work. I've even tried to factory reset my pc, but even that didn't cut it. To my understanding, it has something to do with some update (when I kill the windows update standalone installer while the install is stuck, it gets completed, but I still get the message that some DLLs are missing when I try to open PCSX2).

If anyone could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Request for NO dithering code for PS2 games.

Hello everyone,

All is in the title! There is a thread about dithering for the first Playstation, and i wanted to start a thread about dithering on many Playstation 2 games.

Anyone has an idea about where to start, or how? cheatEngine, hex edit..?

I take the opportunity of this thread to expose a list of games that shows this problem: 

-Alias (Bad)
-Mortal Kombat Deception (Very Bad, black dots)
-Mortal Kombat Armageddon (Very Bad, black dots)
-Resident Evil 4 (ONLY in 480p mode, but Very Bad dithering like a grid)
-Tekken 4 (slight but the degradation of image quality is visible)
-Burnout 3(idem as Tekken 4, slight but visible)
-Beach volleyball summer heat (Very Bad)
-Sonic Riders 1 (Very Bad)
-No One Lives Forever: The Operative (Bad)
-The Getaway 1 (Slight, and ONLY for the background in town)
-Gran Turismo 4 (ONLY in 480p and 1080i mode, but Very Bad dithering like a grid)

I'm playing on a real PS2 with PS3 component cable. The dithering seems to not appear on emulator.

Everything at a distance is blurry, and when I look closely, it looks like it is rendered twice, as you can see on the flag :

I've tried many dirrerent gsdx settings, but nothing changed.
I'm using PCSX2 1.5.0-dev-3133

My specs :
CPU : i5-6600k
GPU : gtx 1070
RAM : 16Go DDR4 2133Mhz

Is there a way to fix this ?

Also a weird thing : the game seems to run much faster with accurate blending set to ultra although it is supposed to be slow ?

[Bug report] Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets [PAL] PS2 Disc and Iso Problem

Hey Guys,

I have a problem with PSCX2. I bought Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Portuguese to play it on PSCX2, because there isn't any iso with this language online.

But I have some problems.

First I tried to boot the disc and appeared this error: Vif1: Unknown VifCmd!

Second, I ripped the disc and converted into an iso. But the problem is always the same.

What can I do? 

I tried many versions of PSXC2: 0.9.4, 0.9.8, 1.4.0 and 1.5.0 dev and nothing happens. I changed the  GS configuration too and I can't play anything. The game doesn't even load the EA logo animation.

Can you guys please help me?

kingdom hearts 2 final mix issues

Hello i'm having problems with getting cheats to work im using a kingdom hearts 2 final mix HD iso but i cant seem to get cheats to work like 60 fps and such.

This is the crc code i got from console FAF99301. and these are the cheats im using

// 60 FPS Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix

and when i try to convert cheats manually from sites into omni convert then into pcsxce and i get errors saying  unable to write to pcsx2.ini. check your permission 

and im getting very frustrated with it can some one please help me with this

Starting a new plugin (URL based ISO)

I'd like to store my ISO's on a raspberry pi and play where ever I'm connected to the internet. I'd have everything done over HTTPS (so there's no potential for outsiders pirating my game), and I'd personally write the server to block multiple connections to the same game. The idea is that the rom would never exist on the client computer except in RAM, Similar to how Console Classix provides Nintendo Roms legally.

How would I start working on that?

EDIT: How would I start making a plugin to read an iso from a URL? I already know how to make the server and do user authentication and what not.

I have been trying to play ape escape two by found that the this emulator makes the game a higher pitch. It's grading on the ears. I messed with most of the setting amd got it bearable by lower the volume, but that not really a solution. I tried other Spu's but the either don't register or make the problem worse. Tried Zero's that was one of the bad ones and any others besides what it came with doesn't work. Anyone know a way to fix this?

Destroy All Humans! Graphical overlay issues

I'm having this weird graphical overlay in the first Destroy All Humans! I've switched between all the graphical renderers and nothing. How do I fix this? I'm also using Dev Build 3133 which as of an hour ago is the second to latest build.

Also, this game apparently has a native widescreen setting in the game but I'm not sure how to get it to work. Do I have to use a widescreen hack even though it's somehow "natively" supported?

Frame Rate Drop

Hello there,

I've been playing Dog's Life, I got to an area called Ski Lodge (If you don't play the game it's about half way through the game). Once I collected 100% of everything in this area the frame rate of the game dropped from 60 to 20 and below. Frame rate also drops to around 40 in the main menu when selecting the save file but that's no big deal. The game was playing perfectly in 60 frames per second the entire time till I reached that point in game. The game is unplayable in 20 frames per second as it feels like the game is running in slow motion and the sound is distorted as well. When I load the level it instantly goes from 60 to 18. Anyone knows what could be the problem with this?
