Ratchet & Clank Quartu Freeze

When I reached Robot Plant Quartu the game freezes right at the end of the ship landing animation.
Is there a fix for this?

Katamary Damacy video gets stuck after a couple of minutes

After playing for a couple of minutes the video gets stuck but the music continues and it still responds to my control. If I play around with the video settings it works again for a couple of minutes just to get stuck again, but sometimes everything gets frozen and I have to close it.
It's impossible to play this way but I don't know what's causing it. The console doesn't show any errors.
I have a pretty powerful computer so I don't think it has anything to with that.
Can someone please help me?

The Godfather Graphics Issue

When I try to play the Godfather it looks great for the most part. But about an inch is cropped off at the top of the screen. I have tried using the keyboard shortcut to adjust the screen position and to squash the image but that did not help. I also tried using several different screen resolutions, and changing the aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3. I don't have this problem with any other game just The Godfather. I will post a screenshot below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PCSX2 version: Tested on 1.4.0 & 1.5.0-dev-2400-9c1224b
Emulation options: Default in both versions
Plugins Used: With Direct3D 11 Hardware & Software (Other things that are related as default)
Resolution on Hardware: Custom 3840x2160 (If it changes anything)
Description:
On the Hardware the game run on 60fps smoothly, but it have a black bar at the bottom of the screen from side to side + the mini map have a black square around it
On the Software the problems above are not occurring, but the FPS goes down to 30 and below in a way that I will not define it as playable.

Broken Sounds and "Error Reading Disc" - Ben 10: Vilgax Attacks & Cosmic Destruction

The two Ben 10 games made Papaya Studios seems play sounds way too fast to hear, dialogue sometimes skip or play too fast to hear, music plays too fast or repeats, and the "Error Reading Disc" screen pops up frequently even though I'm playing them through ISOs. So I was wondering if anyone can help fix this or get a fix for this in a new dev build, it's really annoying.

Silent Hill 3 shadows/grain [2018 edition]

After some googling I see this problem is persistent for sometime now, maybe, 3 to 4 years. 

I'm trying to play the game at 4k, 3840x2160 and I don't believe this could be considered a custom resolution but a integer scaling resolution of PS2 IR. 
I'm using a 1080 Ti, and I can't test with AMD gpu, so I can't comment if this is a problem related to Nvidia drivers.

None of the fixes proposed on the wiki worked for me. 


Since this is an old glitch/bug, I would like to ask if this is actually fixable or not?

Hello everyone, I'm a new pcsx2 user.
I tried following some tutorials to put some cheats in the game Need for speed Most wanted (2005, PAL). I followed all the steps and paid attention to codebreaker, in fact, at the start, it says:
"Found Cheats file: 'CA2A1B04.pnach'
comment: PS2 cheat codes
Loaded 7 Cheats from 'CA2A1B04.pnach' at 'C:\Users\utente\Documents\PCSX2\cheats'
Overall 7 Cheats loaded"


The problem is that i got this message:
"Patches: No CRC, using 00000000 instead. 
Not found Cheats file: +C:\Users\user\Documents\PCSX2\cheats\00000000.pnach 
Overall 0 Cheats loaded" after many errors.

I really want to play it with some new stuff, so I'm asking for your help.
Any ideas about this?

Dark Cloud frame rate problems

Hey. So I'm trying to play Dark Cloud (the first one), but the frame rate is always dropping from 100% (60fps) to around 60-70%. And since the mechanics of this game in particular are very sensitive to the frame rate, the game gets way too tedious to play with this lag. It was working just fine when I was playing through the Divine Beast Cave, but now I've started the Wise Owl Forest and the problem keeps persisting; it could be because the background of the forest is graphically more detailed than the first cave, as the lag only comes once I enter the forest and not in any of the villages. 

Here are my software and hardware specs:

MSI GS63VR Stealth Pro laptop with Windows 10 OS (64 bit)
Intel 7th Gen Core i7-7700HQ
NVIDIA's Geforce GTX 1060
RAM: 16GB DDR4-2400MHz
version 1.4.0-64 bit of course- of PCSX2 (all emulation settings are set to default for the sake of simplicity in this thread, I've tried configuring them myself and no luck); All my games are ISO's downloaded online, not from disks
Direct 3D11 software configuration on the GS settings of the emulator, so far it looks to be the best option.

All my other ISO's work just fine, it's only Dark Cloud. So I imagine there are some things I need to configure to make it work better. And I'm sure the specs above are beyond the capabilities required for both the emulator and the game. Nothing I looked up online helped-google, the official Dark Cloud page on the PCSX2 wiki, or this site. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheats - Way to skipp ahead in games?

Once I have PCSX2 all set up, and I have the ISOs for my games, are there cheats or ways to skip ahead in games, choosing locations, characters, and/or gear?
For instance, Kingdom Hearts II:
Is there a way to jump ahead to a world in the game.
Is there a way to play as different characters like riku, kairi, axel, mickey, or xemnas?
Is there a way to pick and choose your gear, like keyblades?
Is there a way to cheat your stats/buffs?

I've seen youtube videos in the past of people playing games under conditions that were most definitely not in the original games. I don't want to have to search a hundred different sites for a very specific ISO and very specific plugins that will only work with a very specific version of PCSX2 with very specific settings. So, if thats the case, nevermind. If it were JUST KHII I were interested in, then maybe, but Id want to know how to cheat with other games, especially other Final Fantasy games.
I just want to know if theres a menu or method through the emulator itself to cheat.

Game wont save after the final boss

I've been playing Legaia 2 and just beat the boss but when I wait out the credits the games doesn't save and puts me back to my latest save point. I really enjoy playing games after to do all the other side stuff so I was wondering if there is any way to be able to play after the final boss.

Not sure if it's a bug with the forums or not, but every time I cut/copy, then paste text into a reply it shows up as black if I preview or post it. If I post the reply, then edit it with Quick Edit, I see that the forum automatically applied tags to the pasted text to change the font to Helvetica, the color to black, and the size to small. I can manually remove the tags here in quick edit or I can go to full edit and highlight the offending text and click remove formatting and that fixes it. Is this an actual forum bug or are you all trying to teach me the value of previewing before I post?  Biggrin

Hello everyone,

I think it's time to create a core for the libretro project. Actually the effort to create PCSX2 has been impressive and I think it could reach even more many users through this way. Not only through third-party utilities such as "RetroArch, Lakka, RetroPie or EmulationStation", but also its easy "portability" after new systems such as Xbox One (developer mode, UWP and requires a 64-bit version) and Nintendo Switch (easy portability) since there is a choreo for libretro).

Providing the core of the emulator for libretro opens a world of possibilities that today PCSX2 unfortunately can not reach. It is true that the emulator is available in a multiplicity of systems, but why get stuck here? The future looks to Microsoft's 64-bit and UWP applications that promise to be a temporary capsule that will provide greater compatibility to the future of what Win32 has really been (we all know that at some point it will disappear, and with it everything that is only win32). The future also looks towards technologies that allow a greater ease of portability and migration between systems and technologies, do not let PCSX2 die with Win32 and stop cutting the wings of the possibilities that arise.

We all know that it will not be an easy or quick task, but we have references from other big projects like this one that has decided to take the leap as Dolphin and PPSSPP. In addition, I have read some threads of the forum from previous years in which some of the project developers have participated in which they state that they are focused on tasks of improvement and optimization of the performance of the emulator compared to these other options that I propose in this publication. . Ladies and gentlemen, the emulator works perfectly and with the advance of the CPU and GPU potential that currently exists the priorities must also change. At the beginning of the project it was very important to optimize as much as possible because the existing hardware was not as powerful as now, what I want to tell you is that thanks to all this extra potential performance, in the current state of the emulator, I do not think that should be a priority in the face of its greater "portability to the future".

I hope that my suggestion is answered and received for what it is: a shout of encouragement and thanks for the countless hours that thanks to your effort I have been able to enjoy. A greeting!

Gran Turismo 4 Issues with loading

So I have a problem with Gran Turismo 4 right now. After I save my progress, the game just won't let me select cars that I've already driven. I get the error message that the game is corrupted. This has happened three times to me and I even restarted the entire game after getting to 95% completion. I can port my cars over after creating a new save by trading in but that means that the cars are reset to their stock performance and mileage when I first acquire it. Is it possible to adapt old plugins to current PCSX2? (motion blur related)

Years ago I made a thread asking if the heavy motion blur that affects certain games (particularly Atlus games) could be fixed. Apparently nothing can be done in the emulator itself, but one of the posters kindly provided a custom plugin that almost eliminates the motion blur, it works really well. It was originaly designed for Valkyrie Profile 2, but it works like a charm on Atlus games such as Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga.

This plugin only works up to version 1.2.1, so I would like to know if it can be adapted to work on the current version, particularly with the Opengl renderer.
