Website improvements, rewrite

Hey community,

This thread is mostly for the developers, especially of the PCSX2 Website.

I am a fan of the PCSX2 project and a web developer, mostly Back-End.
Well, I wasn't really satisfied with some layout stuff of the site, it doesn't look good on mobile, and the technical side also isn't that nice. And I had some freetime.. Laugh

Counting one and one together, I wanted to rebuild the site (well, front-end only for now) from scratch, in a cleaner technical way and with some layout improvements and opinionated changes on the way. I'm not a designer, so the design didn't change that much.

Not sure what to further say now.. ^^

The live, hosted version should roughly be up to date.

This project is, as visible, not in a final state, still WIP, although I didn't continue for quite some time - stuff is missing, it's not responsive, only developed on a device with 1440x900 resolution (that's therefore also how it looks best currently). Oh, the background isn't intended to stay like that, it was just for me, as I found this saturated blue on the whole page rather hard to look at.



It would be nice if this can get implemented some day, when it's done.

So I would like to hear some thoughts, possible problems and/or ask me questions regarding this. Smile

Lilypad-scp-r5875 problem.

Hello guys. I've a strange problem with my PAD plugin. I already installed SCP drivers for my dualshock 3 and it's working. Now I want to load Lilypad-SCP-r5875 file but...
my PCSX2 doesn't see this file, I can't choose it in plugins. I already unistalled and installed PSX2 a few times, deleted all files, configurations, and it doesn't work. Any help? Sad

Mymc Can't run on windows 10! I need help :((

I can't run mymc on windows 10, although I downloaded msvcp71.dll & msvcr71.dll. I lost the old save game of Dragon Ball Z budokai 3. Now I want to import save game of other player, but mymc can't run. Help me please!

Win10 sleep mode disables all plugins mid session?

Heya,

I am currently on windows 10 x64 using rev 1.5.0-2104, a ps4 controller with the pokopom 2.1.0 plugin, the rest default.

I'm getting this when I try to come back mid session after my computer goes to sleep.

Closing plugins...
    Closing DEV9
    Closing FW
    Closing USB
    Closing CDVD
    Closing SPU2
    Closing PAD
    Closing GS
Delete 0 Shaders, 44 Programs, 28 Pipelines
Plugins closed successfully.

When resuming the game, the console responds to kb hotkeys like saving and loading states, and appears to continue running audio and video, but it does not load the pad plugin, making the game and my save states (including the backup) not respond to input. I have tried restarting the program by exiting, ending it forcefully externally, and going to the plugin menus and saving to try to force the plugin to reload, but none of these work.

I resolved the issue I was having with this by saving the state during the current state, then (with the emulation paused, but running) going into the config>plugin/bios_selector and selecting the default (lilypad) pad plugin. Selecting this during a session will force it to attempt to save the current state and then alter it for the new plugin, potentially recovering control without loss of progress.

There is another thread by the creator, who stated there might be something going on with the api calls. (at this time)

PCSX2 1.4.0 doesn't recognise extracted .ISO

hello,

i downloaded the PS2 emulator PCSX2 1.4.0, and also a ROM for Dark Cloud, extracted the files from the RAR folder, including a second RAR folder that was amongst the initial extracted files (this second RAR folder contained the .ISO file), and moved them all into the C:/Documents/PCSX2/bios folder. started up PCSX2, selected language, didn't change any other settings, but on the last page it doesn't show the game? is there any reason why it isn't recognising the file?

i also tried to download the PCSX2 1.0.0 version, but same result.

i'm using windows 10 64 bit.

any advice would be much appreciated. thanks!

RTK 7 coloring issues

The colors are badly off in many places and the game is unplayable with the way the text is.

For hardware I have an i7 processor and an Nvidia 1070 graphics card. I've tried small changes to
the video (GS) plugin settings but no results. Hope there is a way to fix this.

Hello,

They are a problem of sync between FMV and sound on the intro FMV.

I thinks it's a bug on EE Cyclerate.

The synchro is ok with EE at -3 (but sound stutter)
But it go wrong with EE at 0 or speed hack off (10 sec delay)

I tried with last build pcsx2-v1.5.0-dev-2194-gada0d5745-windows-x86

so I was thinking maybe someone here has tried doing this? I tried a bit randomly after watching that video but to no avail, knowing that I don't even know where to start.

So if anyone is intersted in this maybe you can try a bit. Though I can see why anyone would ignore this things. 21:9 and triple monitor setups aren't that mainstream compared to 16:9. Also that this would only benefit on emulators since PSP's screens is something close to 16:9. And it's not like you can connect 3 PSPs Tongue2

Why is PCSX2 Blurrier than any other Emu?

Why is this emulator so blurry and what can I do about it? I use Dolphin, Project64, Epsxe, Snes9x, etc and this is the blurriest image I've seen aside from handheld emulators that scale up from 240x160. I set the internal renderer to 1080p, crank up aa, and all of the objects still have jagged edges as though they are rendered at 240p, there's insane amounts of aliasing, this happens in various games. I've seen a few threads on this, but the PCSX2 devs always seem to run away from giving a straight answer as though their lives depend on it. I'd just like a straight answer, why is internal rendering so broken, and are you ever going to fix it?

<b>Solution #1: Updated 9/18/2017</b>

It appears that the functions that fetch the input between ds4 and pcsx2 seem to lose touch with eachother when bluetooth and a wired connection are happening simultaneously, the pcsx2 state becomes paused, and the bluetooth connection is interrupted (such as during a sleep state or anything else that may cause bluetooth connectivity to abruptly end). When pcsx2 resumes, the plugins are presumably going off of a cached state, and that connection state has changed since its been frozen.

To rectify this issue you can disable bluetooth and connect the controller via micro usb, and use the default bt disconnect signal from the ds4 profile *while the game/application is running* by (default) holding the ps button for 10 seconds. The pad plugin in pcsx2 should pick up on this alongside ds4 and your system. You then press the ps button again with the game/application running, and ds4 will register the connection as a usb connection, which the system and pcsx2 plugins should pick up on.

This worked in the latest iteration of this issue where neither lilypad or pokopom were functioning; now both work again!

<b>Solution #2: Updated 9/17/2017</b>

If the above solution does not work, and you are running exclusively on save states and cant turn off pcsx2 without losing some portion of your dedicated lifespan; I managed to resolve the issue I was having without losing progress by saving the state during the current state, then (with the emulation paused, but running) going into the config>plugin/bios_selector and selecting the default (lily-pad) pad plugin. Selecting this during a session will force it to attempt to save the current state and then alter it for the new plugin, potentially recovering control without loss of progress.

It worked for me, but it may or may not work for you depending on the game and what kind of hacks your running. For me, the widescreen hack and MTVU (multicore) hacks were enabled, and using this method I was able to recover controller functionality with my saved states and perform a memcard save (which I highly suggest you do if you succeed, as the dirt on this hack may slowly erode your save game stability over time).

Trying to get cheats working for Xenosaga Ep 1

Hey all,

I'm fairly new to this and the cheat system is a little mystifying to me. I made a pnach file from my CRC and thought I had everything set up well but I still can't get them working. 

Game: Xenosaga - Episode I - Der Wille zur Macht (NTSC-U)

Here's the contents of the pnach file ("my CRC".pnach), which is in my Cheats folder in program files where PCSX2 is installed:

I'm using the save anywhere cheat as a test to see if the file is working or not, but I'm still not able to do it. I've enabled cheats in the program, then booted from a save file to make sure I wasn't loading a save state where cheats were disabled.

Motorstorm - Arctic Edge (U) - No sound Solution

In PCSX2 1.4.0 Audio is broken. This is a widespread issue. However, I found a solution. Simply turn the emulator's output audio to stereo.

I assume that the PSP version only had stereo output, so the sound designer for the port didn't change that. Luckily the games poor sales masked the audio issue, because yes! low and behold this issue is replicable on actual hardware. If your TV does not output stereo (Highly unlikely) then your game will have no audio.

Note: Some sound effects still play regardless, but the main bulk of the games audio won't.

I have no idea how or why the earlier versions of PCSX2 did not have an issue on other audio outputs.

Up is lagging

hello community 

I'm USB connected, but sometimes moving forward starts lagging, I already test the controler on your app and windows, and what I noticed is when I press forward, left stick up, the cross stays steady for a while, but then starts trembling backwards 

Any one else with the same issue that can give me an enlightening? 

Could it be a bad remote? Does someone know how to see the warranty without a receipt?

God of War 2 Texture Glitch

Me again, with another texture glitch; im at the part where you're doing the duet with the Raven Rider who has the Spear of Destiny, and the background dissapears when I'm at the middle/top, but corrects itself when at the very bottom, and of course, the enemy pulls a vanishing cloak when he moves far into the background for some arrow potshots; attachments are as follows

version of pcsx2 is git version v1.5.0-dev-2194-gada0d5745; running emulation settings at preset 2, leaving sound plugin settings at default, and video plugin settings at first GSdx default (OpenGL Hardware Mode); and yes, I run an nVidia Geforce GTX 650 Ti video card, and its selected as the adapter in the GSdx plugin settings

Hello PCSX2 Community, i need help configuring the settings on my crap pc. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My specs: Intel Pentium G2030 dual core 3.0 ghz, 4gb ram, and integrated graphics card. 

So far in the emulation settings i have changed the clamping mode to none and moved the sliders in speedhack all the way to the right. I plan to download a lot of games so hopefully you guys can give me the best settings for good fps gameplay. Thanks.
