Crash Nitro Kart Problem (PAL)

Hi im having a problem with this game,

the bottom of the screen is blurred out and glitched, i can post a picture of the problem and my settings, specs are:
AMD FX 4350 @4.20ghz
AMD Radeon R9 270x

The problem is that this ONLY happens with the PAL version of the game, the NTSC version works fine, but i only have a save file for the PAL version to use.

i have question. have you guys tried games that fail boot or black screen  with mtvu enable is playable as normal with  VU1 superVU recompiler [legacy] as setting? tested on crash nitro kart and gradius V.

So lately I've tried to get some Pnach's to work on my games, but it's kinda confusing since i've never used it before.
I was wondering if a feature could be added to "Make a blank Pnach" from inside PCSX2, instead of manually. It would help me, at least.
So what it would do is make a pnach file for you under the current game's information, and it would be there for you to just paste codes into, and makes it a bit easier to figure out how to get it working in general.

Sly 2 missing shadows in Hardware mode fix

Tried last version with gsdx 1.00 and openGL. Enable basic banding unit accuracy. that fixes the missing shadows in those games, making the graphics perfect. It seems to have big performance impact though, even when using only basic option. it also works for Sly 3, but there are some problem lines in the game becuase of that. overall, it's probably a real advancement for the emulator, keep up the good job Smile

Note: I only started testing it, probably needs more testing.

Cheat discs

I know this has probably been asked before, but does anybody know a sure fire way on the latest build of PSXC2 of getting the Action Replay discs working
I am running:
Windows 10 Home 64 bit
4Ghz i7 4790k
AMD Radeon 7900HD Sapphire Edition(Don't know exact number, was second hand from a friend as a gift)
16gb of RAM
Dual Monitor setup, I run PSXC2 on my left monitor while I run chats and stuff on my right.
Thought I would post my stats to see if it could help

Quick pnach tool

This tool  only work with already converted codes to pnach format


This is a simple tool to create pnach files more easily(especially for newbies)...like get the codes someone posted here and create a pnach with them(no need to search for the crc and wonder how to create the file)

How it works:

1.You can place it wherever you want but you must start pcsx2 before running it(it get the needed info from the pcsx2.exe and the console)
2.If a game is already running,when you start the program,it will automatically fill the edit boxes with the game crc,game name and if cheats exist for the current game,they will also be loaded
3.When you start another game without closing the tool,the tool will automatically get the same things as above for the new game
4.If no cheats exist for the current game,it will just add "gamename=the game name" where the cheats editbox is so you can just add your cheats
5.When you save,the tool automatically save the file with the correct name and extension to the correct folder

PS.The Load Button is kinda useless because I made the tool to execute what the button does automatically but I leave it just in case something goes wring and the tool didn't get the info.

Assign "Fast Forward" (Tab) to a Gamepad Key

Here's how I assign the "TAB" Fast Forward Key to R3 (because it's unused by most of the games), but it's easy to change that.

Because PCSX2 doesn't have any option to assign it to a controller button, I use AutoHotKey and the following script:

Just paste this behind any other code you may have in your main AutoHotKey config. I have added many other games over the time.
It will only get activated "GSdx ahk_class wxWindowNR" is active (this is PCSX2). I use a Logitech Rumble Gamepad F510 (hybrid, Direct- and XInput via a switch). So it can be, that "Joy10" (R3) is something else for you. Check your gamepad this with this script: http://ahkscript.org/docs/scripts/JoystickTest.htm
With it you can easily find out any button number for your gamepad. And use the build-in "Window Spy" script to find out the name for "#IfWinActive ..."

AutoHotKey is very nice, equal which EXE you might run. You want to use a gamepad for Word? No problem, it works for just anything. Or map a keyboard to a gamepad, or a gampad to a mouse or anything else. It's getting complicated if you want some weird things, but there are many helpful examples on the site of AHK.

Anyway, this is my way to implement a workaround for Fast Forward. I press is once to activate and again to deactivate.

#IfWinActive GSdx ahk_class wxWindowNR //window of the app, find with build-in window spy
Joy10:: //button on your primary device, the one you really using
Send, {Tab down} //which button to emulate, here in "pressing down Tab" action
KeyWait Joy10 //wait till you release the Joy10 button

AutoHotKey can do much more in ways of automation etc., but I only use it for small things like rebinding a button to a gamepad or combine two to one.

Mymc not working

I know that this is a PCSX2 forum and this isn't a problem that has to do with the emulator, but I don't know where else to turn. A lot of people here use the program, but it seems that no one has ever even mentioned this problem before.

Thing is,  when I tried MymC for the first time, it said it needed some M7-something .dll file. I got the file, but Now when I try to run it, it just says 'Errors Occurred' and refers me to the log file. Here's what said file says :

Usage: C:\Users\Syclone\Documents\Utilities\PCSX2 - mymc alpha v.2.6 [SV113]\mymc-gui.exe [-ih] memcard.ps2 command [...]

Help for a game

Hello
there is a game called "Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy" is a ps2 game, it has two completely deactivated regions.
I would like activate these regions but I don't know how to do it.

On the disk I found this (the regions called "Akaria" and "Sakkara":

Human Benchmark, the reaction time test

I've been using this website for years: http://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/reactiontime/

Although I registered today at last. It measures your reaction time making you click the screen when it turns green.

A lot of time had passed since the last time I tried it, so I thought my reaction time might have degraded. But no, I did my best today (165ms. I guess having my monitor at 146Hz helped).

[Problem] 60FPS Hack - Transfer Saves

Hi , bare with me i'm not that kind of an expert with this program so you may have to be a little bit patient with me ^^ . So my first problem is whenever i try to install the 60fps hack for Kingdom Hearts II , it doesn't work , i don't know what i'm doing wrong , but i'm losing my mind to resolve it and getting it to work . Next up is , if somehow you guys help me get the 60fps to work , is there a way to transfer the saves from the U.S game to the European game , because i don't want to start the whole game from the beginning . Ya' Know.. (cit) , or if i can somehow change the language from the original U.S game to Italian that would be also great . 

P.S: Please Help me ç_ç don't just read and leave , please just please . I can speak/write english pretty well (ignore some dumb mistakes) but when i don't know why i can't understand some words that the game is using , they are just so strange to me , and i would like to understand the story better .

Modify PS2 BIOS ?

Hello, everyone.

I have a SCPH-35004 PS2 console (PAL) and I decided to softmod it so I could play my games' backups over Ethernet and dump the BIOS so I could use it in PCSX2 (that way, I can play my games everywhere).


I recently had the idea to do a few LPs of PS2 games (for my French gaming channel) using PCSX2 (because of 720p, widescreen and other things you can't do with a softmodded PS2), and I wondered if I could modify:
  • The splash screen to display "William JCM Gaming presents" (the message will be in French, of course) instead of "Sony Computer Entertainment";
  • The Playstation 2 logo (that shows up when a PS2 disc is loaded and verified) to read "A Let's Play by William JCM" (again, it will be in French instead of English).
Following this, the game would boot up normally, without alterations to the dumped ISO.

If that's possible, it would allow me to create opening credits specific to PS2 LPs.

TL;DR: Is it possible to modify/edit a PS2's BIOS to do what I want to do (see above) ?

Problem with widescreen

It appears that i can't apply widescreen. For example, i downloaded wipeout fusion, found the widescreen pnach with corresponding alphanumeric value, put it in the cheat folder, checked enable widescreen, but once ingame there's no widescreen. Any help suggest? Actually i'm looking for a snake eater iso, possibly with italian language and with a working widescreen

Low FPS

Hello, I've been trying to play various football games on the emulator such as Madden 12 and NCAA 06 and I've been experiencing 40fps during game play. My CPU usage isn't even at 100% and it's lagging bad. I've tried hardware mode, software mode, set all the speedhacks to max, and played with most of the settings, yet I still get bad FPS.

Specs:
OS: Windows 7 64x
CPU: Phenom II IV 955 @ 3.5GHz
GPU: R9 270x @ 1050MHz
RAM: 8GB DDR2

PCSX2 v1.2.1

Not too terrible but a little old. I can play GTA V on high settings and it handles decently, so I don't understand how a ps2 game can cause the game to run at half speed.

I mean everyone had to know it was gonna be a giant clusterfuck.

I knew the second I saw it hit 10 Million after it's KS. Then it hit 20, then 30, and is now around 100M?  There's to much money involved, so feature creep is happening...and that'll only end up badly.  "I need 2 million to make this game", he's now made 50x that...and needs to justify that to his backers and the development community.

This isn't going to end well for anyone.

Does someone knows what kinda settings do linux have by default? Games\everything looks so much better (colors, and maybe everything is a bit darker?), i tried tweaking in windows but still can't get the same effect. :s
