Pcsx2 games won't recognise controller ?

$
0
0
So essentially i run my ps3 controller through MotioninJoy .

I can run Smackdown vs raw 2007 fine , Controller recognises it .

As i run
Dragon Ball Z :Budokai Tenkaichi 3
Yu-Gi-Oh  - The Beggining Of Destiny

The game does this cute thing where it won't let me use my controller ?

It's not the first time this has happened , the issues fixed by a clean restart ( Which is a hassle because i've already done this and lost all my game data .-. )

Button repeats while pushed down?

Hey guys,

I wanted to do a macro where while a button is pushed down, it will repeat itself until i release the button. Is that possible?

I have tried,
1) press and release - this is not what i want, because i want to press down the button and it repeats until i release
2)wait for release - this is also not what i want
3)wait for re-trigger - this is also not what i want

If inputmapper cannot do this, is there any software out there that can do this?

The only controller i found that can do this w/o software is the cheap playmax controller.

I am sorry if this is the wrong area to post this. Please re-direct me if needed.

Tks for any inputs.

Persona 4 issue?

$

This is my first time of playing persona 4. There's two problem that I encounter at the start of the game.

1).. I couldn't get MC to study or read. I get the message saying "You're exhausted from your exploration inside the TV".
And I still get this message even though I didn't go to dungeon after school.. and I did rested MC the day before.

The date in-game is 4/20 which I assume there's no special event that I missed so.. is this normal?

2) I've searched for exp multiplier for MC over the internet but none of them worked properly. The only one that work, albeit buggy, is this code.
Code:
//MC
//patch=1,EE,200A0000,word,00118040
//patch=1,EE,200A0004,word,08087895
//patch=1,EE,200A0008,word,02222021
//patch=1,EE,2021E250,word,08028000
//patch=1,EE,2021E254,word,00000000
//patch=1,EE,2021E258,word,0C041678
//patch=1,EE,2021E25C,word,00000000
//patch=1,EE,2021E260,word,304200FF

But the thing is, for some reason MC's level is stuck when the code is on. Basically he gets increased hp/sp but the level gets stucked.

The other code seems to add insane amount of exp (instantly brings MC to level 99) despite changing the last three digits.

Code:
// 4x EXP Multi (Main Character)
//patch=1,EE,2021E194,extended,00028080

I'll be thankful if anyone could provide me with a working exp multiplier.  Ninja

I've done some research on playing Destroy All Humans! 1&2 and there seems to be graphical bugs on every post I find. I've followed all threads and managed to get the game working pretty good but still have some issues. I have attached a video for demonstration on these bugs. Has anyone been able to get Destroy All Humans 2 working perfectly? Is this as good as it gets?

Widescreen patch works. I used the snapshot feature and it didn't snap the correct image for the comparison.

I'm on Windows 8.1, I put  the pnach in the cheats_ws folder and enabled widescreen patches. It says it's 512x448. I don't know what to do.
Edit: Enabling and disabling widescreen patches changes nothing. It's still looks the same.

[Help] Sony Dual Shock 2 on Win10 64-bit

So upon upgrading from windows 7 64-bit to windows 10 64-bit, I have noted that Motioninjoy no longer works because of unsigned drivers, and while I was using it before I've decided not to because of claims about driver crashes and the like. I've done a fresh install of win10 last night and am looking for a tool that doesn't use motioninjoy in the slightest, and, to be able to use my official Dual Shock 2 controller. I am using this ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/MY-Link-controll...B000LT0H9Y ) to connect it to my pc. I am not sure if this is the exact brand but the adapter is pretty much the one I use. I have used Better DS3 before and as said previously I don't want anything to do with motioninjoy, maybe only as a last resort.

I have seen the Xinput wrapper for DS3 and DS4 controllers located on this very forum, http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wr...Controller and I ideally want it to work as a 360 controller, however I cannot figure out if I can even get it to work with my DS2 controller. If somebody could provide me with some information on how to use my DS2 controller I would be eternally grateful.

Good morning or Good evening...

I bought this adapter to use a knob "SCPH-10010" Japanese PS2.
Except that if on it the light "Analog" is red, there is no reaction to the Japanese games themselves, too.
Do I have a specific setting or do I buy a European controller, if it is yet ?

Thank you.

like the topic says after searching google for hours trying the various fixes in a 3 year old thread and even using a second un opened copy of the game to rip a new iso same issue. Seen other sites with others with the exact error at the exact spot aron :look (or how ever you spell his name)

Downloaded save files to try and by pass but no way to import them on linux. As for specs those in this case do not matter. The game runs silky smooth with out much tweaking at all.

This mess is driving me to insanity i want to play the game. I honestly never got very far back in the day and no longer have a ps2 system (still had my old bios and the like on cd etc.) and lots of my games. Has any one found a fix? I installed pcsx2 from the official repo via apt-get.

Dualshock 2 Controller with USB Adapter - Some Buttons Not Working

Hey everyone,

Having used PCSX2 for some time now, I decided to switch out the Xbox 360 controller I regularly used for a Dualshock 2 controller in pursuit of a more 'authentic' experience playing through the Playstation 2 games catalogue. I managed to find my old Dualshock 2 controller, and was in luck to find an affordable adapter on Amazon to give it a shot as my primary PCSX2 gamepad (running on a Windows PC).

I connected the adapter, plugged it in, let Windows find the generic USB driver, and fortunately after loading up PCSX2 it was detected by Lilypad as a 'DX USB Gamepad'. I highlighted the entry and hit the 'Test Device' button to see that everything was in order, but found that only the analog sticks, start button, select button and analog button were being registered. Neither the D-pad, shoulder buttons or the shaped buttons to the right of the controller were being detected. I also attempted to bind them, but found the aforementioned buttons were not being registered there either.

I've looked around and have struggled to find any similar forum posts, so I'm wondering if anyone has attempted something similar and perhaps found a workaround to this issue? The adapter to turn the Dualshock 2 controller into a USB device was a generic adapter that didn't come with any drivers, so I have had to rely on the default Windows driver for it. Based on this, I am relatively sure that the adapter isn't faulty, as it did detect input.

Would really appreciate if anyone with experience on this matter could chime in with their input. Thanks!

UPDATE: I have just tried using the same adapter with my other Dualshock 2 controller and have found that it works, so I guess the fault was with the first controller I tried. Thread can be locked/archived now.

seems this issue is about 3 years old+ and users on other forums have tried most every thing and still no joy still the same crash/lock same exact code as topic. Ive re made my iso from both my previously opened game and one i had picked up cheap never opened with my ps2 console in ruins bout the only thing ive not tried is redumping its bios so relied on my old one.the error happens as auron says look a few seconds later it generates the error as in topic.

Oh i did burn the iso to dvd as well to see if it would burn with out errors it did. I don't have a comp i can install pcsx2 with a dvd rom (don't own another comp)

Ill repost reply later with comp specs if needed.

Originally got PCSX2 for Kingdom Hearts 2, which plays beautifully on 1080p btw, but I seem to be getting a slow motion type effect when I try to run any other games.
Anyone have some ideas to fix this? I'd really love to get some other games going!

I apologize if this was already posted, but I got tired of searching.

I've tried playing Def Jam: Fight for New York,Speed is 100% during load screens, How ever when game play or cut scenes start there is a significant decrease in speed which goes as low as 11%. Ive tried most trouble shooting such as hardware to software running, speed hacks, and so on. Could it be my comp specs?  Blush

but when I opened pcsx2 again tonight, PCSX2 wouldn't read any of the buttons, I haven't damaged the controller and the buttons that light up still do on the remote so it's clearly being powered by my computer, how do I get it to work again? it tells me the controller is plugged in for port 1/2 which it is but it just won't pick up the buttons.

DX Twin USB Joystick

everything has values under device diagnostics for this remote, I haven't changed the port, I haven't changed the USB port for the usb-ps2port.

Multitap Joystick configuration

Hello everyone,
is there a way of configuring more than 2 joystick on PCSX2 for Linux? The onepad plugin doesn't seem to support this functionality from the GUI.

I'm using ds4drv to connect 4 ps4 joysticks but I'm only able to use two of them in PCSX2.
I even tried the daily build, I'm glad the configuration GUI has improved but still no way of configuring 4 joysticks.

Anything that I can do or edit?

Thanks in advance Biggrin .
